Job Summary Performs technical tasks in the conduct of in vivo research studies or support services in accordance with good animal welfare practices. Prepares, collects and records research data and specimens in compliance with applicable regulations and SOPs.

We are seeking anAssistant Technician 2for ourToxicology department site located inLaval(Greater Montrealarea) in Canada.

The following are responsibilities related to theAssistant Technician 2: Perform tasks such as syringe filling, capture of body weight or food consumption, animal observations and clinical exams, intra-muscular and subcutaneous injections, centrifugation in compliance with GLP; Capture computer data and properly complete audit protocols; Ensure the equipment used is validated; Handle animals for any activity that requires it; Prepare animal rooms in a timely manner to ensure that required supplies are available; Clean all type of animal housing units and related accessories.

The following are minimum qualifications related to theAssistant Technician 2position : High School Diploma or working experience with animals; Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a work environment; Practical knowledge of animal health science; Good understanding of relevant legislation, principles, practices and procedures (GLP); Reading of English is required. Bilingualism is preferable.
