Senior Director of Sales - Med Tech Key Accounts

The Senior Director of Sales is primarily responsible for managing the team of MedTech Key Account Salespeople establishing and building business relationships with senior, C-level medical device and life science executives to identify sales opportunities across the MedTech market.  The Director of Sales is expected to possess significant knowledge and understanding of the medical community and the consulting services and operations related to the MedTech industry.  In particular, the Director of Sales will lead and drive the national IQVIA MedTech sales team with focus on ~17 different IQVIA MedTech service offerings and help drive a market presence.  

The Director of Sales will manage all functions of the sales team including sales strategy (e.g. Miller Heiman), accurate forecasting, reporting, quota setting and management, sales process optimization, sales training, sales program implementation, and recruiting and selection of salesforce talent.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, manage, and retain top MedTech Key Account sales talent
  • Effectively work within IQVIA’s matrixed organizational structure
  • Deliver go to market strategies for our MedTech customers with a focus on securing MSAs, SOWs, and program expansions
  • Initiate and build relationships with C-suite executives
  • Continuously seek competitive data to ensure IQVIA’s market position in each vertical is competitive and aligned to maximize targeted outcomes
  • Equitably assign sales force expectations  
  • Facilitate successful implementation of new programs through the sales organization by ensuring a well-defined, efficient sales process is in place
  • Coordinate quarterly business reviews with clients to review performance metrics and identify opportunities to maximize potential
  • Provide leadership to the sales organization, and counsel to the MedTech leadership team in implementing sales objectives that appropriately reflect IQVIA’s business goals and targets
  • Excellent organizational skill
  • Meet/Exceed all financial metrics

Preferred Skills/Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of five years of sales experience in a business-to-business or healthcare sales environment 
  • C-level call point experience with a complex services solution selling background preferred
  • Proven track record of managing complex services delivery among multiple vertical markets
  • Strong history of driving sales in large organizations with multiple decision makers and influencing desired outcomes
  • Expertise in SalesForce.com with ability to successfully use reporting and forecasting attributes of software
