This role is based in our modern state of the art office in Nottingham city centre which has excellent transport links and a great working environment and the feel of an innovative technology company. Please note that at this time the role is being performed from home but when the office reopens you will be expected to be fully office based.

As the Domain Architect (Information) you will be a specialist in information architecture. You will understand all the technologies and design patterns required to design solution components to ensure solutions follow best practice within the domain. You will advise the Solution architects of best practices within their domain and co-ordinate system designers and implementation staff to create compliant solutions. You will also define best practices within the domain including tools, methods and processes.

Key Accountabilities:

Domain Knowledge - Be an expert in your domain understand a breadth of technology, methodologies and trends. Be able to utilize this knowledge to align and advise the best approaches and tools to meet the requirements.

Domain Design - Work with Solution and Offering architects to understand the requirements within your specialized domain and provide solution components that realize the requirement. - Be able to clearly advise on areas of the solution that may cause issues within your domain that may create issues and challenge the need of given requirements based on economic, time, business and complexity factors. Solution Documentation - Produce clear and concise documentation to define the domain components and ensure that supporting lower level design assets have been created.

Solution Governance- Ensure that all solution(s) and components of undergo the correct level of governance and sign-off in compliance with Parexel policies and procedures.

Best Practice Patterns - Evaluate and define what best practice patterns are within the domain for re-use and ensure that these are re-used across all solutions and offerings where practical.

Influence Stakeholders - Via the use of presentation skills, verbal and oral communication and other influence techniques ensure that all stakeholders understand and agree to the solution components and best practices within the domain.

Stakeholder Management - Ensure that all internal and external stakeholders understand the work you are conducting and are bought into the approach being used to deliver.

Risk Management - Identify Risks and Issues. - Quantify the impact of each occurring or not being met as well as creating mitigations and containments within the domain.

Requirement Management - Be able to evaluate functional and non-functional requirements across the domain defining assumptions to allow design to proceed in areas of gaps. - Identify dependencies on other teams, 3rd parties and customer working with the project team to clearly define the impacts if these are missed.

Evaluate and Manage Change - Be able to evaluate change requests made against the requirement scope of the domain components and understand the impacts to design, time and cost of the change.

Costing - Define the end to end costing of the domain components.QualificationsEducation:- Degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or Computer Science field, or equivalent.

In own areas of expertise, provides advice and guidance to consultants and/or the customer or other stakeholders through involvement in the delivery of consultancy services

Knowledge and Experience: - The candidate will have advanced level experience in technical delivery and have a proven record in undertaking design and architecture activities with domain focused experience in Information architecture.

- This can be demonstrated via experience and while not necessary the below certification would be desirable- Certification in design methodology (e.g. UML) or experience.- Certification in scaled agile delivery (e.g. SAFe) or experience.- Domain specific aligned certification or experience.- Certification in agile delivery (e.g. scrum) or experience.
