Patient Care Coach

Overview:

The candidate will be responsible for contacting patients that are eligible for enrollment to provide the necessary wellness coaching to reduce or eliminate high-risk behaviors. S/he will also be encouraging the adoption of habits that are conducive to a higher quality of life, helping IQVIA’s patients to coordinate medical care and understand any medical conditions they might have, providing primary coaching, counseling, consultation and referral services to manage various chronic health conditions and lifestyle behavior changes, providing feedback and being involved in problem solving issues related to improved navigation through the healthcare system and coordinating services with the health coaching team.

The candidate will take management responsibility for timely follow-ups with patients and for the flawless implementation of IQVIA’s patient support program.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming the patients who are willing to be enrolled in IQVIA’s program, consenting them and introducing them to the related program to their disease.
  • Explaining procedures, answering questions and providing information to patients.
  • Initiating follow-up calls regularly with the patients based on the adherence level to motivate them to stick to the medications prescribed by the physicians and reach the optimum treatment strategy.
  • Maintaining communication and quality of the program by reporting problems either adverse events related to the products or quality technical complaints accompanied by using the devices.
  • Maintaining and improving quality results by adhering to standards and guidelines and recommending improved procedures.
  • Acting as an interface between the field care coaches and the patients in arranging patients’ meetings or visits.
  • Acting as interface between patients and different stakeholders involved in the program flow.
  • Instructing others to provide them with a healthier way of life.
  • Providing necessary coaching to reduce or eliminate behaviors that are considered high-risk.
  • Handling and educating patients on treatment related devices through phone calls that facilitate the treatment process.
  • Registering new patients on the platform specialized for the program.
  • Submitting all patients’ complaints whether adverse events or quality complaints accompanied by assigned products of the program.
  • Developing care plans that are custom-tailored to individual patients.
  • Timely and accurately responding to patient needs and inquiries, ensuring assistance within the required approved script.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a medical field.
  • Strong motivational, convincing power and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to counsel clients of all ages, cultures and educational level.
  • Immense ability to develop a health plan.
  • A well organized and pleasing personality with high self-confidence.
  • Knowledge of latest trends in health care.
  • Strong understanding of patient support programs in the life science industry.
  • Good team-based interpersonal skills, with an ability to work independently.
  • Highly motivated, energetic and has the desire to immerse themselves in the patients’ culture of wellness and support this culture.
  • Fluency in English/Arabic.
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Excel).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
