The Manager, Resource Management is responsible to lead the resourcing function for an assigned region. Engage with senior levels of the business to influence resource related decisions and challenge assumptions. Participate in change management. Function output includes identification and assignment of potential team members for proposals/bid defense meetings, for newly awarded projects and for changes of team members on awarded projects, running reports on resource management tool and forecasting of potential resource needs (within assigned business area or geography).
Lead responsibility for a large group of resources from a planning, allocation and forecasting perspective Engage with VPs and Directors of operations to ensure alignment relating to resourcing decisionsParticipate in staff meetings of operational leadership and seen as an influencer to resourcing decisionsUse ‘Resource Optimization Framework’ to drive optimal resourcing decisions, Mentor/coach direct reports and extended teams on use of the sameMaintain macro-level understanding of awarded work, potential new business, resource demand for the next 3-6 months, resource supply and challenges within the scope of the roleEvaluate specific resource needs for proposals/bid defense meetings and awarded studies (Amount of hours needed and by when, overall experience and experience in requested Therapeutic Area in order to be successful)Utilize the CV database for therapeutic experience to identify team members with specific therapeutic experience for proposals and awarded projectsUtilize the resource management tool by running reports to check for Free hours/capacity of potential team membersMake decisions for assignments for proposals/bid defense meetings and awarded work (new business, replacements of team members due to sick leave, maternity leave, company leave, exchange of staff on studies); track and follow up on the assignmentsDevelop, prepare, and distribute resourcing projection reports (monthly at a minimum or more frequently as needed)Provide resourcing overview to operational leads/heads as appropriateRun reports on resource management tool to check for mismatch between resourcing hours in resource management tool and actual hoursEvaluate and assist in the development of resource planning tools and databases as neededDevelop and evaluate resourcing proceduresMaintain a working knowledge and ensure compliance with applicable local regulatory requirements and PAREXEL SOPs.QualificationsSkills:
