Role Description

As an Associate Automation Specialist, you will providesupport (high level troubleshooting and independent instrument setup) for liquid handling workstations, contibuting to increased efficiencies in high throughput sample analysis.

Responsibilities: Develops and validates scripts/methods. Understands and conforms to methods, and protocols applicable to assigned tasks. Develops liquid classes for liquid handling workstations. Maintains existing liquid handling workstations through preventative maintenance under supervision. Assists in implementing new scripts/methods through developmental testing. Supports new hires and trainees in executing scripts/methods. Performs other duties as assigned. Independently responds to and aids lab personnel in error handling on liquid handling systems. Participates in validation projects and, with minimal supervision, conducts validation experiments.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2 years).

In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of all data generation and statistical programs Proficient in complex automated platform software use and programming Knowledge of general chemistry, separation science, immunochemistry, molecular genomics, biomarker, and/or vaccine science related concepts and/or technologies (as applicable) Understanding of GxP requirements, PPD & client SOPs, ICH guidelines, USP requirements and FDA guidance Ability to operate and troubleshoot a wide variety of analytical instrumentation and data acquisition systems Analytical problem solving abilities Technical writing skills Effective communication and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
