We are seeking an experienced Shipping Technician for our Central Team located in Mattawan, MI.

 

A Shipping Technician is responsible for shipping and receiving of multiple types of laboratory materials, including maintianing the security of archived materials during the shipping process when applicable. A Shipping Technician uses effective communication and interpresonal skills in a collaborative team environment, problem solves, and contributes to quality and effficiency improvements.

 

The following are minimum requirements related to the Shipping Technician position.

  HS/GED/Bachelor's degree with no relevant experience.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted asa satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.    Demonstrated knowledge of all types of documents, samples, and products handled by the organization. Demonstrated knowledge of import/export regulations is preferred. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels inside and outside the organization. Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite. Computer skills, commensurate with Essential Functions, including the ability to learn a validated system. Ability to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule to include, but not limited to evenings, weekends, extended shifts, and/or extra shifts; sometimes on short notice. Ability to work under specific time constraints.
