The Team:

Our Medical and Patient Communications team is a full-service Medical Communications agency, with bases across Europe and the USA. Supporting our clients from Phase II onwards, we provide highly impactful communications programmes to engage healthcare professionals, payers and patients, which harness the power of IQVIA’s healthcare data, domain expertise, transformative technology, and advanced analytics to drive healthcare forward.

The MPC group are expanding, and a result, we are excited to advertise this newly created Associate Director, Digital Solution Innovation role. The successful candidate will provide Medical and Patient Communications-focused digital innovation expertise to develop and evolve our Communications offerings and solutions to reach and engage HCPs, patients and other stakeholders. You will conceive, assess, plan and deliver digital solutions to drive revenue growth for the MPC group.  

Key Responsibilities:

Product development

  • Develop new, and enhance existing, digital communications solutions for all MPC pillars (Scientific Communications, Strategic Medical Engagement, Brand Solutions, Patient Engagement)
  • Work closely with Product and Strategy Directors to develop clear and compelling business cases for new digital products and enhancement of existing digital products, including competitive landscape, other internal IQVIA propositions, revenue potential, and operational impact
  • Represent MPC with internal IQIVA teams including Tech and IT to collaborate on MPC products, and feed MPC viewpoints / expertise into wider IQVIA digital products
  • Responsible for developing implementation and operational deployment plans for new digital products, identifying potential risks and mitigation strategies for these
  • Establish RACI ways of working for delivery projects that encompass MPC roles as well as other contributing teams (I.e. IT, CSMS)
  • Work to establish and maintain contracting and data compliance frameworks, with the appropriate internal teams, across digital products

Digital product ownership

  • Accountable as Product Owner for existing MPC / new digital products, responsible for development roadmaps, assessment and refinements and liaison with other IQVIA teams to test and achieve these
  • Act as a subject matter expert to support the definition and execution of the vision and roadmap for MPC’s digital capabilities/products

Provision of digital subject matter expertise to enhance MPC programmes and projects

  • Identify new opportunities for the introduction of digital innovation to enhance core MPC capabilities
  • Act as innovation SME in brainstorms, and for pitches and proposals to add innovative digital approaches to projects including e-learning, educational webinar series, in person and virtual meetings, and exhibition stands

General

  • Develop and maintain competitive intelligence in the digital/technology space as it applies to MPC’s areas of focus, identifying new collaborations and opportunities and providing recommendations and business cases for investment
  • Work to build a bank of case-studies and proof-points across the digital portfolio to strengthen our digital proposition
  • Support go to market strategy for new digital capabilities/products and provide subject matter expert input to proactive and reactive BD opportunities
  • Support project execution of new digital products through management of internal development teams or 3rd party digital agencies to complete projects to a high standard
  • Training of internal teams to understand our digital capabilities/products and best practice
  • Participate in internal and external thought leadership activities to establish and maintain strong presence and expertise

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A broad understanding of digital technologies
  • Experience in digital communications, leading digital and innovation initiatives 
  • Prior experience working within the pharmaceutical, medical communications or life sciences Industry
  • Strategic thinker. Creative, resourceful, and proactive with a strong customer focus.
  • Entrepreneurial, with experience in bringing new and innovative approaches to delivery
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
