We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Corporate General Ledger Accounting Team.  This role focuses on general ledger close responsibilities, such as month end journals, reconciliations, flux analyses, and more for our entire North American region, providing the opportunity to interact with site leads on a routine basis. 

 

In this position, you will work closely with your manager on the accounting, reporting and compliance requirements for allocated businesses, and will support the local Finance Team in implementing good accounting practices to ensure timely and accurate submission of results.

 

 Additionally, you will benefit from frequent cross-functional engagement with Fixed Assets, SEC reporting, Shared Services, Revenue, Consolidations, M&A and others on daily tasks, team projects and ad hoc assignments.

 

The following are responsibilities related to the Senior Accountant position: 

 

 

    Prepare monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations requiring calculations of a moderate to high level of complexity.

    Review general ledger detail and run-rates to identify and record required adjustments.

    Apply knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Company policies to solve moderate to complex problems.

    Coordinate and oversee assigned accounting tasks and processes.

    Analyze financial data and extract relevant information; interpret data for purpose of determining past financial performance and/or to project a financial probability.

    Mentor and help train more junior level staff accountants.

    Assist with identification and implementation of process improvement initiatives.

    Assist manager with leading various team project implementations.

    Provide internal and external auditors with requested supporting documentation.

    Learn and comply with Sarbanes-Oxley controls.

    Support merger and acquisition initiatives.

    Perform all other related duties as assigned.

The following are minimum requirements related to the Senior Accountant position:

 

    Bachelor's degree (B.A. /B.S.) or equivalent in Accounting (preferred) or related discipline.

    Five or more years related experience and/or training.

    CPA preferred.

    Excellent spreadsheet skills required. SAP, Blackline and Analysis for Office experience a plus. 

    Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
