Job Summary

The Principal People Data Analyst is responsible for driving the strategy for the team of system owners, data scientists, analysts, and engineers toward the vision of fit-for-purpose data use in analytics, business applications, and computational models where people data may be applied.  They will collaborate with a broad cross-functional team including People and Culture leadership, external collaborators, and internal business stakeholders to plan, execute and showcase the team's work.  The Principal People Data Analyst is an innovative thinker, passionate, and a good communicator with the ability to manage stakeholders across People and Culture, lines of business, and data science teams.   

This position is remote.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: •    Define priorities and build the people analytics roadmap, with short and long-term goals and a focus on continuous improvement •    Enhance the employee experience by leveraging the latest technology and by using predictive modeling, machine learning, forecasting, and statistical modeling •    Evaluate and augment people data to identify trends and recommend enhancements for core people metrics - attraction, retention, development, people manager effectiveness and business KP •    Act as a consultant on projects, bringing HR analytics to help inform courses of action •    Inform HR program design and action recommendations by helping to build business cases with quantitative and qualitative information •    Perform proactive diagnostic analysis on key HR measures, trends, and hot spots, and surface meaningful, actionable insights and recommendations to global and regional leaders. •    Design interactive and insightful dashboards that cut across the entire employee lifecycle. •    Maintain skills and education in People Analytics research, best practices, technology, and connections with other Analytics teams •    Collaborating closely with core team members including owners of systems in which people data resides, the People and Culture leadership team, business leaders, and HR business partners •    Act as business partner on projects and make recommendations with quantitative and qualitative information •    Will ensure that people data follows all relevant privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR •    Utilize people data knowledge to translate requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams •    Maintain a backlog of People Data requirements •    Perform all other related duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

•    Bachelor's Degree (Masters Degree in Statistics/Mathematics or MBA is a plus) •    10+ years of scaling experience managing analytics, data engineering, or data science teams •    Strategic leadership strength in developing long-term people analytics strategies and objectives; ability to proactively identify gaps and opportunities •    Hands-on knowledge with the type of people data sets to be used (e.g., employee, position, engagement, learning, performance, payroll, time and attendance, etc.) and be able to act as a translator between system and business SMEs and data teams to ensure proper application of business rules •    Outstanding execution and operational ability •    Ability to work in a cross functional technical team  •    Strong leader, collaborator, team player, and individual contributor

Compensation Data

The pay range for this position is $150,000.00 - $170,000.00. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
