Technician 1

We are looking for LABORATORY TECHNICIAN for In Vivo-department for tull-time fixed-term contract in Kuopio site

Duties and responsibilities:

- Job title: Technician

- Taking care of daily routines and maintenance of lab animals

- Moderately complex CNS study techniques by using laboratory animals, e.g. dosing, behavioral tests, tissue samplings and processing and surgical procedures

- Data collection, documentation and data entry with study specific instructions

- Ensuring in time all the study specific reagents and materials

- Preparing the study folders and sheets

- Other supportive and study related tasks in the department

Qualification:

- Applicable education of training or experience, e.g. technician, laboratory technician, bioanalyst, animal care technician, veterinary technician

- 1-3 years’ experience with similar kind of work

- Possibility to work in animal facility

- Team work skills essential

- Experience of described skills as lab animal care, dosing and/or behavioral testing etc essential

- Good computer skills, at least Microsoft Office

- Written and spoken English is an advantage

- Active teamwork and communication skills mandatory
