Job Summary We are looking for two motivated and quality-oriented Data Technician or Data Analyst (position depending on experience) inregular and full-time positions to support our Data Analysis team at Charles River Discovery Research Service site located in Kuopio, Finland. The candidates will be part of a multi-disciplinary preclinical research team in the field of neuroscience. These positions require a background in data analysis in, e.g., biological, medical, or pharmaceutical sciences. The positions will report to Principal Data Scientist.

As a part of the team you will be responsible for executing data management, visualization, and statistical analysis tasks, obtained from pre-clinical studies (in vitro and in vivo), independently or together with other Data Technicians, Data Analysts, Research Associates and guided by Principal Data Scientist.

The focus areas of your work will be determined by your skills and experience, including for instance, the analysis of histological images, well-plate data, HPLC data, as well as various image, video or numerical datasets originated from in vivo laboratory. You will perform routine and moderately complex statistical analysis and data visualization using GraphPad Prism and Microsoft Office software, but possibly also using R and MATLAB. Job Qualifications Education: Applicable education of training or experience, e.g. BS in Biological Science, MSc, B. Eng. Skills: Written and spoken English is required. Teamwork skills are essential. Advanced computer skills and problem-solving skills and analytical skills are crucial. Clear communication and presentation skills are important. Experience in data statistical analysis and programming skills are consider an asset. Work experience: 1-3-year experience with data management, analysis and visualization. Understanding of the biological science data. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
