Business Architect for Sales Force Effectiveness

Role Overview

The Business Architectfor Sales Force Effectiveness will work with our customers as a trusted advisor to ensure successful project delivery of end-to-end IQVIA Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) solutions.  In this position, candidate will work in close relationship with delivery teams including project managers, data architects, data/business analysts and technical developers and act as a liaison with customer business stakeholders understanding their strategic goals and providing recommendations on how to achieve them.

Responsibilities

As Business Architect for Sales Force Effectiveness, you will:

  • Work closely with product team to stay up to date on product releases and provide U.S. business unit feedback regarding product roadmap.

  • Engage and educate customers on industry best practices for successfully deploying SFE engagements and how this can be achieved using IQVIA technologies and processes.

  • Be accountable for the overall writing of business requirements and business architecture during SFE solution implementations.

  • Participate in the business development process for IQVIA SFE opportunities as needed.

Minimum Education, Experience, & Specialized Knowledge Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with at least 8 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical or consulting industry. Master’s degree preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical commercial field operations, especially SFE related processes such sales force sizing and structure, targeting and segmentation, territory alignment, call planning, incentive compensation design and administration and sales analytics.

  • In-depth understanding of the prescription and patient data assets available in the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Ability to deliver “business architectures” – starting from data profiling / analysis, defining business rules, define target data models.

  • Excellent communications, problem solving, functional and technical skills.

  • Flexible, periodic travel for internal and client meetings

Additional Requirements:

  • Demonstrated success building effective relationships with a broad spectrum of internal and external stakeholders, including strong understanding of change management practices

  • Knowledge of consulting methods, tools and techniques related to SFE

  • Knowledge of IC design methodologies, including but not limited to goal setting, pay curve design and other analytical and modeling techniques used in IC design.

  • Knowledge of implementing/using enterprise-grade IC solutions like Javelin, Optymyze, Xactly, Varicent, etc.

  • Knowledge of implementing/using SFE solutions like AlignStar, TerrAlign, Javelin Territory Manager, Axtria’s SalesIQ, etc.

  • Knowledge and understanding of the marketplace and professional/trade associations key people and companies.
