The Associate Director, Clinical Data Scientists is responsible to lead, manage and support a regional team of managers and/or individual contributors to ensure that Parexel delivers quality projects to its clients. Guide ongoing training, career development and Management processes within the department or function. The Associate Director is responsible to ensure client projects are resourced with suitably developed professionals and to ensure appropriate retention plans are in place to develop and retain these professionals within Parexel. The Associate Director is responsible to promote new business by participating in project bids and client presentations as appropriate. The Associate Director is responsible to provide expertise and consultation to project teams. The Associate Director is an experienced leader responsible for liaising with senior levels or management within the organization to continuously assess and improve operational project delivery. The Associate Director is responsible to lead, manage and successfully deliver key cross-functional initiatives within Global Data Operations. The Associate Director may also manage technology as a Technology owner and/or act as an account Lead for DM Programming. The ADCDS will act as a Subject Matter Expert as we build processes in SAS and also take on the role of a Trainer with respect to SAS in the initial phase.

Key Accountabilities:

Team Leadership

•Ensure team delivery of high-quality project deliverables by monitoring performance

•Train and mentor team according to job role expectations, acting as an SME for a functional process or account where applicable

•Meet with full team on a regular basis with comprehensive communication and guidance

•Conduct individual 1:1s with all staff on a regular basis

•Provide leadership and effective support to project team and deliverables when supporting a project directly

•Awareness around team performance and impacts to accounts team is contributing to, collaborate with Account Lead colleagues

Quality Management & Compliance

•Check quality of team deliverables and proper remedial action

•Ensure direct reports meet departmental and project productivity and quality metrics by efficient execution of activities

•May support data collection for KPIs, Metrics, dashboards as applicable

•Contribute to review of role specific training curricula – as applicable

•May contribute to Parexel process documents authoring or reviewing

•Maintain a working knowledge of, and assure compliance with, applicable ICH Guidelines, Good Clinical Practices, Regulatory Agency requirements and Parexel Processes

Initiatives & Business Development

•Contribute to initiatives as time allows

•Contribute to bid pursuit activities by supporting team and/or attending bid pursuit opportunities as time allows

•Participate in Parexel and department system/standards improvement activities

Account Lead

•Point of contact within Parexel and clients (where applicable) for Database programming related issues.

•Proactively identify potential issues/concerns related to database programming on the account that may adversely affect strategic partnership with the client and communicate those to senior management for preemptive measures

•Maintain seamless communication with the account staff to ensure study/project progress, timelines, quality, budget and all the deliverables are being met with quality.

•Assigned as QI manager on partnership QIs

•Facilitate “Lessons Learned” after project completion and determines improvement opportunities within the Account

•Attend account oversight client meetings (such as weekly meetings, monthly functional management team meetings, quarterly operational management team meetings, bi-yearly executive steering committee meetings, etc.) QualificationsSystem Ownership

•Work with business to create and maintain user requirements on a technology.

•Drive the implementation and validation of the system according to TQM SOPs.

•Provide SME support including continuous evaluation workshops and technical support to the user community either directly or through dedicated SMEs.

•Work with technology vendor to enhance the relationship. Build Processes • Act as a SAS SME to drive process setup

•Act as a Trainer while the group is built

•Proven record of leading project and program teams

•Full understanding and application of relevant ICH-GCP Guidelines, local regulatory requirements and Parexel SOPs and study specific procedures

•Awareness of SDTM/CDISC/CDASH standards

•Programming expertise or certification in computer languages (e.g. SAS, VBA, R, C#, SAS, etc.) is recommended.

Education:

•Master’s degree and / or other qualifications in a science or industry related discipline industry related discipline
