Associate Director, Data Integrity

Home Based, North Carolina

The Associate Director, Data Integrity is responsible to assure strong data quality and data integrity flow through systems across the Parexel systems estate. This role is responsible for supporting new and existing projects by working closely with the Architecture, Quality, and Data managers and other stakeholders to assure reliability of transmission between systems and accuracy of data calculations within systems.

Key Accountabilities :

Data Quality Profiling & Dashboards:Promotes rollout of data rules & standardsGuides teams for data integrity during design reviewsFocuses on the quality of data in each domain for the organizationInvolved/facilitates in cross business unit resolution of data definition, production and usage issuesEscalates well-documented issues to strategic level with or without recommendationParticipates in tactical groups for finite periods of time to address specific issues and projects related to their domain and business unitAssists in pulling together Data Quality related KPI'sWorks with Data Quality Engineers and Data Quality Manager to help put together Enterprise wide and business process specific Data Quality ScorecardsSupports root-cause analysis for date quality issues processReviews the data anomalies and guide capabilities team during resolutionReviews data validation and standardization rules across domainSupports root-cause analysis for data issues and processParticipates in workshops to define, capture and document business rulesWorks on standardization of data rulesCollaborates on cross-domain issuesWorks with Product Owner and Stakeholder to fill the gapWorks closely with Business and Functional area leadership to improve the quality and value of core data assetsEliminates re-work by having data assets that is trusted, standardized and capable of serving multiple purposesIdentifies critical data elements with the best ratio between impact and effortBusiness Rules and Issue Resolution:Participates in workshops to define, capture and document business rulesMaintains central repository of business rules for enterprise wide consumption and usage in Alation and other repositories as and where requiredCoordinates with business process and systems teams to help adjudicate and address data related requests and issues

QualificationsSkills: Mastery of Data Management and Data Quality related concepts Excellent problem-solving, written communication, collaboration, team leadership, and critical-thinking skills Ability to troubleshoot, resolve issues, and collaborate on cross-domain issues

Knowledge and Experience : Experience with purpose-built data quality tools, and/or disparate systems environments is preferred Ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of responsibility and authority Proven experience / exposure to Data Management and Enterprise Information Management Familiarity with DQM (Data Quality Management) and/or the IMR (Issue Management & Resolution) process Strong familiarity with business processes in the context of the data domain Previous experience in pharma and/or life sciences relating to the underlying domain

Education: Master’s in computer science or a relevant experience.
