  Job Summary  

We are seeking a Formulations Research Associate at our Discovery site located in KUOPIO. 

Research Associate is responsible for executing formulations study activities to ensure quality and timely completion of  studies.  These include:

- Participate in writing and reviewing procedures and documentation forms, i.e., Formulation Batch Records and Dispense definitions, for the preparation, aliquoting, and weigh outs of dosing formulations to make sure protocol requirements are met.

- Participate in calculation of Test Article requirements based on protocols and study designs.

- Participate in schedule preparation activities to match In Vivo and Formulations schedules.

- Ensure availability of study reagents and materials.

- Responsible for pre-testing of the preparation procedures of dosing formulations where required.

- Assist in training of formulations technicians in dose formulation preparations.

- Ensure raw data records are accurate, complete, and in appropriate order, and write deviations where required.

- Perform other special laboratory and study related assignments as assigned by Laboratory management and assists others with their duties. Job Qualifications The following are minimum qualifications related to the position:

Education:  Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree preferably in pharmaceutics or chemistry 

Experience:  2-4 years of experience in formulations preparation. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above. 

Fluency in Finnish and in English both in speaking and writing is required

Mathematical competence is required

Be attentive to detail, possess strong organizational skills and accurate record keeping competencies

Possess good communication and team-working skills

Be flexible in work schedule, be available to work on weekends, be able to work under specific time constraints, sometimes on short notice
