Vice President, Real-World Evidence Strategy

The VP Real-world Evidence Strategy takes a leadership role in the development and execution of the strategy for the global PAREXEL Real-world Evidence (RWE) services. He/she will proactively drive a highly competitive Real-world Evidence service within PAREXEL and in the international environment, comprising a successful internal approach and collaboration with related market-access, technology, and other teams. He/she will promote PAREXEL thought leadership and competitive position in the industry, and will provide internal thoughtleadership and training on RWE across PAREXEL. He/She will be proactive in securing new business with clients through involvement in opportunity identification and proposal development and bid defenses, providing direction and guidance to Solutions Consultants and Commercial teams in these pursuits.

Key Accountabilities

• Drive development of general growth strategies for the setup and expansion of PAREXEL’s Real-world Evidence Services.

• Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to all parts of the business involved in development and delivery of the Real-world Evidence services

• Promote outstanding Thought Leadership and high visibility in the international biopharma community across all stakeholders for Real-world Evidence.

• Work with Commercial Leadership and Marketing to develop and implement go-to-market strategies for RWE Services

• Be a true strategic advisor, communicating the right 'bundle' of Real-world Evidence services to meet customer needs

• Guide and direct Solutions Consultants in developing and implementing project strategies and selling propositions for RWE studies, and in bid-defense meetings and capabilities presentations

• Maintain strong and positive ongoing customer relationships at senior level to drive repeat business and partnerships

• Be viewed as a change agent that can not only understand customer needs but can translate those needs into new delivery models for longer-term RWE growth

• In-depth knowledge of the international bio-pharmaceutical market, the stakeholders and the services required in Real-world Evidence

• Proven Thought Leadership skills and ability to translate those skills to others

• Skilled in presenting, packaging and pitching integrated solutions to clients to demonstrate value and potential return on investment

• Ability to drive the building and leverage of relationships with customers for the long-term

• Highly effective communicator, both written and verbal, at all levels with customers, internally and with the industry at large

• Leadership presence and the ability to manage and lead change and to achieve results through influence

• Broad understanding of operational models in Real-world Evidence

• Comfortable operating in a demanding, fast-paced environment and capable of reacting swiftly to changing business demands

Education

• Advanced degree in life sciences or business equivalent (e.g. MBA, MHA, MPH, MS, PhD) preferred

• Very strong scientific/medical background with strong commercial experience or vice versa.

Language Skills

• Exceptional English-language proficiency required, both written and verbal

• Multi-lingual capability an advantage

Minimum Work Experience

• 10+ years working in the pharmaceutical industry or a pharmaceutical services environment with deep understanding of clinical-research strategies, with a majority of those years working in the real-world research area

• Proven strategic- and consultative-selling experience, supporting business-development teams and client relationships

• Reputation as a Thought Leader in the Life Science Industry preferred
