The position is a statistical consultant role, for both internal and external consulting. Each member of the team is expected to have a specialty area of statistical leadership, and would take the lead in those areas, but would also be expected to fulfill general consulting roles. Our remit is innovative trial and program design, along with associated analyses. Most often our team members will help write protocol synopses for our clients as part of a team which includes medical, pharmacokinetic, and operational experts, but occasionally we may contribute to full protocols, and provide consulting in advanced statistical analyses. Trial designs of particular interest include biosimilars, adaptive designs, master protocols, Bayesian analyses, and related statistical methods. The team member may also be a member of data monitoring committees, either as blinded or unblinded statistician. The incumbent may also participate in technology development, both for internal and external use. CSDD has launched two software products for external use in the last two years with more in development.

Thought leadership is also expected from team members, which includes publishing papers in peer-reviewed journals, referee and editor work, presenting talks at scientific conferences, and participating in our by-invitation-only webinars. Management of people and projects is also possible depending on interest. Participation in bid defenses is expected, as is some travel to clients.
