We are seeking a Research Scientist for our Immunology (Immunotoxicology) department site located in Senneville (Greater Montreal area) in Canada.

 

Designs and/or executes scientific testing strategies and studies. Leads assay development, assay validation or study conduct, or is involved in preparation of material [e.g. protein, nucleic acid, cells, etc.]. Reviews and interprets study data, communicates results to clients and writes final reports. Serves as Project Scientist, Principal Investigator, Contributing Scientist, Project Leader or Study Director, as applicable. Ensures compliance with protocols and all applicable SOPs. Troubleshoots and resolves assay or technical issues in the laboratory when scientific expertise is needed. May introduce new technologies or introduce improvements in existing technologies. Provides advisory functions to clients designing a program or experiment, dealing with specific dataset interpretation, or when appropriate answering questions from regulatory authorities.

 

The following are responsibilities related to the Research Scientist:

  Support non-clinical studies in assessing immunogenicity as part of safety and efficacy assessment; Development, optimization and use of flow cytometry assays, immunoassay techniques (ELISAs, ECLs, Luminex) and cell-based assays, (ELIspot, bioassays, etc.); Write scientific documents, correct and review the results; Analyze scientific problems, troubleshoot analytical methods and technical issues and interpret the raw data; Communicates results to clients and advises clients based on knowledge, experience, best practices and regulatory guidance; Manage of scientific projects and technical resources involved in study conduct.

  Qualifications requises  

The following are minimum qualifications related to the Research Scientist position:

  Has flow cytometry and immunotoxicology experience;  Possess a M.Sc. or PhD in Immunology, microbiology or virology, or in related scientific discipline, or have relevant experience; Is computer literate (Microsoft Word and Excel) and possess excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork abilities; Is fluent in French and English. Bilingualism is prefered; Has GLP knowledge (is an asset).
