Job Purpose:

Parexel Regulatory & Access Consulting offers a resourceful solution for commercialization by aligning evidence generation and economic evaluation with pricing, reimbursement, and market access strategy. As a senior leader a Principal Consultant in the HEOR modelling team has responsibility for building and maintaining relationships with clients, for providing technical leadership and training to junior staff, generating and advocating thought leadership pieces, and for leading the delivery of projects on time and to a high quality. In addition, the Principal Consultant has an important role in writing and presenting proposals to prospective clients.

Key Accountabilities :

Within project teams, objectives of the role will be to:

• Project leadership: Managing a team of analysts to ensure timely delivery of projects to a high standard, managing client communications, and ensuring projects are delivered on budget. Acting as Project Director, providing strategic and technical leadership to the project team

• Business development: Generating new business through active client engagement, relationship management and through writing and presenting proposals to clients. Driving client meetings along with business development team to present the skills and experience of the HEOR modelling team

• Technical leadership: Providing technical leadership and training to more junior staff within the modelling team, and ensuring own skills are up to date. Driving innovation and thought leadership form important aspects of the Principal role

• Management support: Provide support to the HEOR senior leadership in managing aspects of Modelling business performance, as required

• Parexel-related responsibilities:

o Meets established metrics as specified in scorecard on an annual basis

o Completes basic job-related responsibilities, including timesheets, expense reports, maintenance of CVs, project deliverable archiving, participation in internal initiatives/projects or as a mentor as requested by management

Knowledge and Experience :

• Training and extensive experience in health economics including the conceptualization and development of cost-effectiveness and budget impact models - 8+ years, experience working a consultancy environment.

• 4+ years experience with development of health economic models

• Experience of managing modelling projects and leading/coaching a project team

• Experience of business development (proposal writing, bid defense meetings)

• Experience of working on HTA submissions is an advantage

• Experience of programming and software such as VBA, SAS, R is an advantage

• In-depth understanding of the pharmaceutical market

• A strong track-record of timely and high-quality project delivery, with demonstrable experience in producing client-ready deliverables that clearly show an understanding of client requirements

Education:

Master’s degree or equivalent in either life science or a quantitative discipline, such as health economics, economics, mathematics, or statistics.
