Job Summary We are seeking a Project & Colony Management Specialist for our Research Models and Services Client Portfolio Management Department located in Wilmington, MA or Hollister, CA.   (Some remote work is optional).

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages key client accounts and other client programs that require complex planning and in-depth analysis to ensure that projects meet client expectations and deadlines Functions as the primary client contact, with guidance from senior scientific staff, for activities related to the planning and execution of client genetically-engineered rodent breeding and model creation programs Interacts with clients in order to understand their requirements to disseminate and partner with Business Development, Client Services, Operational Staff, and Quality Assurance Staff Organizes, collects, prepares and distributes information necessary to ensure operational milestones are met from the development of contracts to final reporting Recommends and implements study management improvements.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent life sciences, project management or a related discipline. 2 years related experience in colony management, project management and/or client relations. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience. Must be able to manage resources/staff without direct reporting relationships. Proven ability to multi-task, excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail required.  Possess analytical thinking and problem- solving skills and be able to prioritize and re-evaluate priorities as situations change.  Comfortable communicating with partners at all levels. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Proficient in MS Office Suite.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: AALAS certification. Experience with SalesForce or a CRM system.
