  Job Summary Part Time - Day Shift Hours

BASIC SUMMARY:  

Complete simple work order tasks as outlined by supervisor and follow designated procedures to ensure overall quality of facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

⦁    Perform simple preventative maintenance. 

⦁    Perform physical plant repairs in the areas of carpentry, plumbing, and minor repairs to equipment, as assigned.

⦁    Replace belts, pulleys, motors, bearings, etc.

⦁    Dismantle and relocates equipment.

⦁    Perform all other related duties as assigned.

  Job Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS:

⦁    Education:  High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.) preferred

⦁    Experience:  None.

⦁    An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.

⦁    Certification/Licensure:  None.

⦁    Other:  Experience with simple repairs/painting preferred.  Must be able to understand and follow verbal direction.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

⦁    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. 

⦁    The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.

⦁    The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.

⦁    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

⦁    While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, risk of radiation, and vibration.

⦁    The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
