Job Summary

The Associate Director, Leadership Development Partner, will contribute to and drive enterprise-wide strategy, design, and implementation of agile, scalable leadership development resources and programs to ensure Charles River (CR) has the strength of leadership and successor readiness at critical levels to drive success now and in the future. This new individual contributor role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, strategic, and results-oriented professional to influence the future of leader development at Charles River during a time of exciting growth at the company. The role reports to the Director of Learning and Development within the Global Talent Management function.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  •    Contribute to and progress a comprehensive global leadership development strategy for Charles River that ensures near-term development of existing leaders and strengthens the leadership pipeline for the future. •    Oversee, develop, recommend, and lead key strategic learning initiatives on a wide variety of topics, including but not limited to leadership development, leader orientation and onboarding, and overall learning and development. •    Collaborate with business unit learning and development roles to advance a global leadership strategy and to deliver development resources and programs utilizing a 70-20-10 approach •    Partner with key business, HR, and Global Talent Management (GTM) partners to ensure that critical capabilities and gaps are identified and addressed and that solutions are grounded and integrated into overall business strategy and talent strategy, drive culture, and are agile, practical, impactful, and measurable.  •    Build and deliver foundational practices, resources, and programs for identification, preparation, and on-going development across critical levels and segments of leadership (e.g., aspiring leaders, frontline leaders, leader of leaders, senior leaders, etc.)  •    Manage complex global projects within a matrix organization and within cross-generational, multi-cultural, and varied business environments, while successfully building and managing relationships •    Support the development and effectiveness of facilitators across the organization, including coordination of a facilitator network •    Build operational practices that capture metrics and business impact •    Monitor industry trends as they relate to the development of future-focused leadership, continuously look for ways to innovate and enable 7-20-10 development and pursue ways to leverage digital technology.

Job Qualifications

•    Education:   Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Organizational Development, HR, I/O Psychology, MBA or related field; advanced degree in similar fields preferred. •    Experience: More than 15 years of experience in areas of learning and development and organizational development; at least 10 years of experience in leadership development; leadership/managerial experience preferred  •    Demonstrated success in complex, matrixed environments and delivering impact in a virtual work environment •    Progressive, curious, and innovative individual with excellent foresight and ability to turn strategy into impactful plans and actions •    Ability to build strong working relationships with internal customers in a matrix organization and positively influence key constituents •    Excellent communication, influencing, and leadership skills, including proven ability to facilitate cross-functional teams •    Ability to collaborate, bring people along with significant change, and drive leveraged action •    Advanced project management skills and experience •    Willing to roll-up sleeves and do the work as well as contribute by influencing and leading others •    Knowledge of adult learning principles, contemporary blended learning approaches, instructional design concepts and models and 70-20-10 principles for learning solutions. •    Advanced level knowledge of industry standards, trends and emerging challenges in leadership and leadership development •    Strategic, systems thinker •    Data-driven with excellent judgement •    High on results-orientation and learning agility

•    Travel is not a regular occurrence with this role but could be necessary on occasion.

Compensation Data

The pay range for this position is $96K - $160K. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
