 Internship Assignment Summary :

A student intern in Genetic Toxicology would be responsible for supporting study work under the supervision of a study supervisor in the cytogenetics or bacteriology teams. They will develop a variety of assay skills focusing on one assay type in compliance with departmental SOP’s and to GLP standards. Interns will work as part of a team and learn to plan their time to meet client timelines.

You will learn the following: Gain an overview of the Cytogenetics or Bacteriology assay. Perform the daily assay tasks as appropriate to include: Performing the assay treatments Culture the bacteria or cells as required Perform test article serial dilutions Prepare agar and/or buffers used in the assay

 Education/Qualifications:

Education/Qualifications/Skills : 

* Be studying for an Undergraduate degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Genetics, Microbiology or similar.

* A willingness to learn,

* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team,

* Great attention to detail,
