Supervise, train and develop laboratory staff to encourage growth.

Coach, mentor and provide regular performance feedback to staff.

Assist laboratory staff with regard to data entry, document review, filing and Quality Control.

As a Manager, the employee is expected to recognize the importance of and create a culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes adding value to our business and meeting client needs.

Interact with management and project leaders over practical and specific aspects of studies.

Be the main point of communication for scientific related matters.

Present information regarding the background and laboratory related issues of the study to all laboratory staff prior to study start, to ensure comprehension of the important aspects of the study.

Ensure timely analysis in order to provide meaningful results.

Produce, review and maintain laboratory SOPs and other controlled documentation.

Adhere to GLP and the SOPs pertaining to all areas of laboratory work undertaken.

Understanding and implementation of the Quality system governing the laboratories.

Attend client meetings, and any other relevant study related meetings.

Travel (approximately 15%) domestic and/or international.

Produce any study specific documents as required.

Validation of analytical methods

Analyze clinical and preclinical samples following SOPs and protocols.

Qualify analytical equipment as required.

Order laboratory reagents and consumables as required.

Any other reasonable duties as they arise at the discretion of the Director of Immunoassay Laboratory Services or designee.
