Job Purpose:

The Regional Team Manager is responsible for the oversight of a team of operational and project management professionals. This includes ensuring successful performance and delivery of his/her direct report’s project deliverables, on time, in accordance to GxP and customs regulations and within the budget covering all products offered by CTS&L.

The Regional Team Manager is responsible to resource client projects with suitably developed professionals and to retain and develop these professionals within Parexel and is also responsible to provide clinical supply & logistics consultation to project teams as needed and works independently, under supervision of the Regional Head.

Key Accountabilities:

Team Leadership Recruit, retain and develop a team of skilled, experienced, and motivated staff. Ensure direct reports meet and aim to exceed their personal goals and objectives by developing appropriate orientation/induction, performance review and development plans for all direct reports. Support and improve levels of productivity/billability through effective task-allocation, staff assignment and defining roles & responsibilities. Enable- a high performance culture through a positive, results-oriented work environment, building partnerships and modeling teamwork, communicating to the staff in an open, balanced and respectful manner. Complete the formal performance and salary review processes to corporate standards. Business/Operational Leadership Drive business and projects growth; increasing revenues and profits. Help to implement a lean management approach and process improvements, in line with corporate, quality, client and team feedback, and quality audits. Strong customer focus. Contribute to projects, committees and task force groups as needed. Ensure direct reports meet departmental and project productivity and quality metrics. Review TIME entries and TIME reports and provide accurate input into monthly reports. Provide team consultation, facilitate appropriate metrics collection and develop action plans. Promote new business by participating in internal Prexel meetings and work streams, project/program bids and client presentations as appropriate. Support development of new products. Ensure cGxP readiness and compliance with operations (cGMP, SOPs, customs regulations, etc.) and adherence to practices for all employees. Project Management Senior oversight of project strategies, set up and execution, including delivery of project on time, within budget and with first time quality. May provide Portfolio Oversight, ensure consistent service provision in line with account specific requirements and act as single point of contact for clients & Parexel’s commercial organization including solution consultants. Financial performance management of all projects managed within his/her team, including, project profitability, scoping and managing change in scope. Meet client and business needs to have all projects optimally resourced with suitably experienced team members. Act as the point of escalation and client contact for any logistics related aspects when required. Provide consultation, facilitate metrics collection and develop action plans in conjunction with Management/Quality. Ensure that ongoing/revised project documentation and correspondence is accurate and complete. Support team members to improve their efficiency and effectiveness at prioritizing work and improving performance evidenced by the work produced, client feedback, audit results and QC measures. Provide technical support to team members to ensure that they have the required knowledge to fulfill their duties. Check quality of team deliverables (e.g., on site visits, Central File documentation) and take appropriate remedial action. QualificationsSkills:

Proven business and commercial acumen. Ability to identify and nurture key talent. Good leadership and interpersonal skills. Willingness and ability to travel. Knowledge and Experience:

In-depth understanding of relevant Clinical Trial Supply & Logistics project management processes and related customer needs & industry trends Good understanding of the regulatory drug development and logistics framework. System knowledge in logistics enterprise solutions, RTMS and Warehousing. Advanced financial understanding and profitability mind-set (e.g. KPI measurement, Budgeting & Forecasting). Team leadership experience in a high growth global service environment. Awareness of trade compliance and regulations, import/export operations, GMP, GDP, GCLP and GCP principles Good pharmaceutical research industry experience preferably with direct experience in Clinical Trial Supplies/Central Lab Services and/or IRT/RTSM products, processes, and practices. Experience with leading change management and process improvements/implementations. Good understanding of project management methodology and ability to handle multiple projects at one time.

Education: Educated to B.A./B.S. degree (logistics, pharmacy, biological science or other health related discipline or M.B.A. preferred) or equivalent.
