Compliance Manager, FMV

As a Manager, Fair Market Value (FMV) within the Commercial Compliance Consulting practice, you will take on a variety of roles that focus primarily within the following core areas: client/project leadership, project delivery, business development, and firm/operational management roles. The focus of a Manager is to deliver outstanding client service, while building trusted relationships with new and existing clients that enhance the FMV practice, Commercial Compliance Consulting brand and that of IQVIA overall. The Manager’s success will be measured by the ability to take on larger and more complex projects, managing and developing staff, and opening new business relationships to the firm. Projects will be focused on the calculation of FMV to satisfy regulatory requirements in the life sciences industry. The calculation of FMV spans the following subject areas:

  • Healthcare professional services provided across the world;
  • Clinical research services provided across the world; and
  • Industry channel partner (e.g., wholesalers, specialty pharmacies, GPOs, PBMs) services and data provided across the world.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver insightful, value-added strategies that address complex client issues.
  • Create and elevate new business opportunities through the identification of value-added follow-on work and identify new revenue opportunities with existing and new client organisations.
  • Act leader of client engagements; ultimate responsibility for client satisfaction and delivering high levels of quality/added value.
  • Provide follow-up with clients after project deliverables have been completed to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Provide high level input and ensure development of client reports and presentations.
  • Ability to deliver all or significant portions of findings to clients.
  • Lead thought leadership and firm building initiatives.
  • Exhibit high levels of FMV subject matter expertise and overall operations awareness to identify opportunities for providing further value to our clients and for enhancing our team’s brand recognition
  • Contribute to the enhanced awareness of the FMV and Commercial Compliance Consulting practice in the marketplace, e.g. through speaking engagements, client meetings, and publications.
  • Participate in annual performance review team processes.
  • Engage in recruitment and selection of new staff.
  • Mentor, coach, and share subject matter expertise with others to help develop individuals and capabilities delivering world-class solutions for clients.

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will have a track record of success across most of the following competencies:

  • Client Relationship Management and Delivery – Leader of client engagements within Life Sciences organizations, focused on client satisfaction and outstanding client deliverables. Proven capability to identify new revenue opportunities with existing clients.
  • Team Development/Management - Proven skills in identifying, recruiting, mentoring/coaching, and retaining top talent
  • Business Development - Actively participate in proposal development and ongoing pre-sales meetings with potential new client organizations.
  • International Experience - Has the experience to deliver global compliance client solutions
  • Analytical Problem-Solving - Applies an analytical approach to solving problems and reaching logical conclusions. Gathers information from a variety of sources and quickly gains an understanding of it. Works effectively with complicated, conflicting, or ambiguous information, and looks beyond the surface of issues to identify their underlying patterns and causes.
  • Communications/Executive Presence - Expresses ideas in a clear and concise manner; tailors’ message to target audience with the gravitas to build relationships to sell services and recruit practitioners.
  • Technological Aptitude - Shows comfort and aptitude in using, positioning, and selling Commercial Compliance technology portfolio in collaboration with our technology team
  • Planning and organizing - Establishes and prioritizes tasks and objectives to manage time and resources appropriately. Sets deadlines based on the time required, and on how each part of the plan affects others. Prepares backup plans in case the situation changes.
  • Strategic Vision - Creates a clear view of the future of the business. Considers the long-term goals of the organization and defines the strategy to achieve this. Considers the current environment in which the business operates and anticipates future changes or challenges for the organization.

Qualifications & Other Requirements

In addition to the skills and experience above, candidates interested in joining IQVIA Commercial Compliance Consulting as a Manager, FMV will also have:

  • A strong academic track record including minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent, relevant graduate degree preferred (further personal/industry qualifications are valued but are not essential)
  • Minimum 5 – 7 years demonstrated experience in working with financial analyses and or experience in one or more of the following focus areas: i) clinical research, ii) healthcare policy, or iii) market access
  • Undergraduate degree in economics, finance, accounting, clinical or health policy or healthcare administration is required; a graduate degree is a plus
  • Successful track record delivering projects (on time and on budget)
  • Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Working knowledge of basic software applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Entrepreneur, independent worker, organized, self-motivated
  • Analytical and quantitative: comfortable with numbers,
  • Strong business acumen, and excellent leadership skills
  • Willingness to have a different opinion, ability to articulate thoughts and concepts well
  • Ability and willingness to strive to improve skills related to the IQVIA core competencies
  • Experience or knowledge of pharmaceutical industry a strong plus
