Summarized Purpose:

The Associate Marketing Manager / Marketing Manager plans and implements marketing programs. Assists management in planning and creating strategies, tactics, activities, and materials for the purpose of conveying the most positive marketing message to target markets. Packages and distributes marketing materials. Serves as liaisons between the organization and its customers, partners, trade associations, outside vendors, and media audiences.

Essential Functions Plans and manages a range of marketing communications initiatives such as industry conferences, media relations and PPD at the Podium programs. Ensures that all PPD brand and all messages are communicated clearly, consistently and accurately across all marketing channels, including e-blasts, web site, onsite exhibitions, key message documents, news releases, etc. Uses creative marketing promotions to build awareness of the PPD brand across multiple marketing communications channels. Serves as a marketing contact for strategic partner projects, working closely with the business development team to grow business opportunities with selected clients. Manages marketing team members, ensuring a positive team work environment and professional growth opportunities for these team members. Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience: BS Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or other relevant studies. Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 5-8 years) or equivalent and relevant combination of education, training, & experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Proven strategic marketing skills. Experience in healthcare marketing. Content Development experience / Deploying content to customers B2B Marketing experience. Management of Account Based Marketing Plans Demonstrated ability to develop and implement integrated strategic marketing plans that integrate the following elements of the marketing mix: promotional tactics, sales collateral, direct mail, Web based marketing, trade shows, advertising and market research analysis Basic understanding of how Web-based marketing and public relations coordinate with integrated marketing programs for service promotions and corporate brand alignment Thorough understanding of integrated marketing communications for services Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated initiative and strategic thinking Proven management, supervisory, budget and negotiation skills Strong analytical skills Works well under pressure Effectively prioritizes and manages multiple projects Excellent planning, organizational and project management skills Proven ability to manage outside agencies in order to fulfill project objectives Skilled in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and proficient with the Internet
