In return, we’ll help you build a career that you can feel passionate about. Job Summary We are seeking a Animal Care Technician 3 for our Insourcing Solutions site located in South San Francisco.

The following are responsibilities related to the Animal Care Technician 3:Cares for the animals used in research and development studies. Performs duties related to the maintenance of experimental animals such as feeding and caring for animals, cleaning cages, holding animals for treatment by laboratory technician or maintaining inventory and animal identification records. Performs cleaning/sanitation of animal facility and equipment. Responsible for bio-safety and bio-security of the animals. May partner with pre-clinical investigators to assist and support veterinarians with surgery, dosing, post-op care and monitoring of animal studies.

The following are minimum qualifications related to the Animal Care Technician 3 position: Education/Experience: Bachelors of Science degree in a Life Sciences discipline and two (2) years related experience or CVT/LVT/RVT certification and two (2) years directly related work experience in laboratory animal husbandry and technical skills as detailed above OR High School diploma/GED and four (4) years directly related work experience in laboratory animal husbandry and technical skills as detailed above required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above. Certification/Licensure: AALAS Certification at the LAT level preferred. Other: Basic computer skills required.
