Global Training Business Partner

The Learning and Development (L&D) department takes a targeted and balanced approach to support both the immediate training needs and the long term development investment in our employees, by aligning all training requests with the priorities of the business. We have an exciting opportunity to add a Global Training Business Partner to our team.

The Training Business Partner (TBP) is a Parexel business leader’s single point of contact for best in class Learning & Development (L&D) support. As a member of this strategically focused team of L&D experts, the TBP is responsible for cultivating strong, long term partnerships with defined business leaders and HR Business Partners to analyze, define, review, coordinate, and implement functional, technical, professional and management training programs in support of Parexel business units achieving their performance and revenue targets. The TBP then leads all training development projects from conception to completion. They ensure that all training that is created and assigned is the right training, being offered at the right time, to the right people and for the right amount of time. They monitor the feedback on launched programs to ensure quality and customer satisfaction as well as monitor the business’ overall investment in training (i.e. cost, time, resources).

Key Accountabilities:

• Provide direct partnership support for Parexel’s Global Clinical Operations and Project Leadership teams

• Partner with business leaders and HRBPs to maximize the impact that training can have in order to achieve business objectives

• Consult and strategize with global business leaders to analyze and define the right training requirements, identify the capability gaps and structure the appropriate training requirements (with support of instructional design consultants) to build required organizational capability

• Use deep (or actively developing) business unit knowledge to build credibility and trust with key leaders, challenge assumptions and influence how the business unit invests in training

• Lead all training workstreams and training design projects and manage them through the project lifecycle

• Provide counsel and high-level oversight on all role-based curricula assignments

• Ensure training delivery quality and the content meets business requirements

• In partnership with the business leaders and SMEs, identify the right target audience, assign appropriate training and report on compliance

• Sustain the appropriate communication with businesses, functions and regional audiences regarding the availability of new and existing training opportunities

• Guide business leaders in monitoring the amount of training being prescribed to employees, ensuring only the right amount of time is being invested

• Assess compliance with business and function leaders on a regular basis

• Collect feedback on all responsible training content to ensure continuous improvements

• Assist other parts of L&D and the business to qualify instructors

• Participate in pilots to ensure quality and eventual successful program launches

• Be available / willing to travel up to 15% of the time

QualificationsQualified candidates will have experience in the following:

• Thorough understanding of the CRO / Drug Development industry

• Experience working in a regulated environment

• Clinical research experience or knowledge of the clinical research process

• Experience in HR or L&D or related areas (i.e. Quality, Functional Training units) of at least 7 years

• Training design and development knowledge and skills

• Proven success in consulting with leaders on learning related solutions

• Needs assessment (Performance Consulting) skills

• Steller project management

• Proven relationship management (ability to create and maintain a strong network)

• Ability to work with and influence senior leadership, peers and project team members

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Working cross-culturally

• Managing multiple and competing priorities

• Tolerating and managing ambiguity

• Accountability and taking initiative to own the problem and the solution

• Proven success in working independently but with a contribution mindset
