This is a permanent, full time position based in our Greenfield, IN laboratory.</span></p><p style="margin: 0px;"> </p><p style="margin: 0px;"><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif';">As a Flow Cytometry Staff Scientist you will serve as a corporate resource for flow cytometry and participate in Immunotoxicology EWG.  You will research scientific literature and market needs and develop innovative solutions for our customers</span></p><h2><span style="font-size: 10pt;">In this position, you will:</span></h2><ul><li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif';">Consult with clients and Covance colleagues to identify projects</span></li><li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif';">Participate in pricing and business development discussions as needed</span></li><li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif';">Perform quality review of experimental reports </span></li><li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif';">Ensure client satisfaction with reports and services</span></li><li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif';">Verify appropriate biological controls in experimental design</span></li><li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif';">Identify and resolve quality issues and report issues to manager</span></li><li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif';">Perform quality review of study reports.</span></li><li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif';">Network with Covance colleagues at other sites and freely share ideas for flow cytometry and immunology service development</span></li><li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif';">Provide scientific review and opinion for Covance and client studies.</span></li><li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif';">Represent our laboratory team and department in cross-functional Covance meetings.</span></li><li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif';">Ensure client satisfaction with communications and study reports</span></li><li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif';">Prepare high quality scientific reports for internal and external oral presentation</span></li><li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif';">Prepare scientific posters and manuscripts that demonstrate expertise and enhance the reputation of Covance in the scientific and client community.</span></li><li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif';">Provide vision for long-term planning and laboratory growth</span></li><li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif';">Read appropriate literature, consult experts in the field and research topics applicable to Covance and client needs</span></li><li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif';">Monitor the discipline for new developments in techniques, technologies, and instruments</span></li><li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif';">M.S. or Ph.D. in Biology, Immunology or related field required</span></li><li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif';">A minimum of 5 years bench-level laboratory experience in flow cytometry (basic science, pre-clinical or clinical cytometry)</span></li><li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif';">Some experience in cell based-assay: cell culture, PBMC isolation</span></li><li style="margin-left: .25in;"><span style="font-size: 9.0pt; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif';">Excellent Experience with Microsoft Office , Bio-stat, and flow cytometry data analysis software</span></li></ul><h2>Education/Qualifications:</h2><p style="margin: 0px;">Minimum Required:</p><ul><li><span style="font-size: 9.0pt;
