The Vice President, Head of Cell and Gene Therapy Center of Excellence (CoE) will lead Parexel’s Global Cross Functional Cell and Gene Therapy Center of Excellence. The CoE will Lead and Support strategies to effectively deliver of our customer’s portfolios of projects in Cell and Gene Therapy. The VP, Head of Cell and Gene Therapy will lead a team that will work closely with the proposal and sales team to support the development to effective strategies to deliver global Cell and Gene Therapy projects. The team will also support project teams and advise on effective conduct of Cell and Gene Therapy studies. The position requires that the individual lead a cross functional team responsible for creating and maintaining cross-departmental relationships, developing operational plans across the functions and monitoring, revisiting and evaluating progress towards achieving CoE goals. The VP, Head of Cell and Gene Therapy will also work in close cooperation and conjunction with Medical Franchise leaders, Business Development and Customer relations to ensure the successful delivery of the portfolio Key Responsibilities Lead the Cross functional, matrixed team of Cell and Gene Therapy experts across Parexel. Support the targeted growth in New Business Awards in the Cell and Gene Therapy space. Develop and maintain Center of Excellence budget framework and oversee annual budget setting cycle Ensure effective support of project teams delivering Cell and Gene Therapy studies with effective support processes, training, and oversight Ensure effective support to the proposals and business development teams to develop effective and innovative plans to deliver Cell and Gene Therapy Studies. Ensure effective support during the sales process including support of Bid defense meetings and budget reviews. Develop the Global Cell and Gene Therapy onboarding training for new employees Develop, manage, and report key business success metrics to the wider Clinical Development and Business Development teams Develop thought leader (KOL/PAG) engagement plans for Global Cell and Gene Therapy CoE in conjunction and cooperation with cross-functional leads Own development and execution of robust Cell and Gene Therapy CoE internal and external communications including liaising with Corporate Communications for day-to-day management of social media presence of for Cell and Gene Therapy CoE needs Support existing and develop new relationships with Cell and Gene Therapy advocacy organizations Act as the primary point person with the organization for delivery of Cell and Gene Therapy studies and portfolios of studies. QualificationsExperience and Education

Preferred: 15+ years of experience in Clinical Development Experience of working in a Pharma or Biotech Environment Experience of working in a CRO environment Recognized thought leader in Cell and Gene Therapy Existing relationships with Cell and Gene Therapy advocacy groups Higher level Degree (Masters, PhD or Medical degree in a Medical/life science related field)
