The Director, Collaboration Platforms & Services will be responsible for the leadership and management of a global technical, service and product team managing business requirements within a controlled budget environment, constantly pushing for the services to deliver greater value at a reduced overall cost whilst ensuring the end user experience is widely acknowledged as first class within the industry. This position needs to articulate and drive value from our Collaboration and Workplace technology.


Leadership/ManagementSet core objectives for the Collaboration service and establish clear reporting lines and informationOverall budget control of vendors and service providers within the Collaboration technology area. This will include Microsoft and other legacy and challenger vendorsRepresent the Collaboration Service and wider Infrastructure service to the business Workplace Experience will be a priority with constant focus and awareness of user experience and requirementsCreate a technology capability which will provide a social platform where Parexel can operate open discussions and knowledge sharingContinual service improvement to minimize the number of self-imposed outages – drive high quality change and release management through automation practicesFunctional/Technical Develop and provide service metrics within the Collaboration area which can be reported both to IT leadership and the wider business to provide context of what services are being delivered within your areaDevelop a sustainable Collaboration roadmap encompassing service, technology and budgetGenerate business case propositions that you will present to senior leadership within IT but also the businessEnsure the technology change ‘evergreen’ roadmap as part of the Office 365 oversight and notification service to ensure that Parexel can efficiently manage the service Employee DevelopmentBuild an effective Collaboration team that is focused on developing their own capabilities but also ensuring that the service stands for continual improvementOrganize team meetings to communicate critical departmental and organizational informationFacilitate the annual performance management cycle including performance and development assessments and conversationsDirect ongoing recognition and compensation, as well as annual merit and incentive planning decisionsEnforce compliance with all enterprise policies and guidelinesAddress employee relations and performance issues, with timely engagement of HR Business PartnerQualificationsSKILLS:Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsClient focused approach to workAbility to manage multiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workload with attention to detailFinancial management and acumen, ability to strictly manage a complex and large budget to a demanding targetStrategic and tactical planning, formulating a clear vision of future state in order to resolve business objectivesAbility to build trusted relationships with business partnersLead a worldwide, distributed department, while motivating and developing team membersWillingness to work in a matrix environment and to value the importance of teamworkDemonstrable experience of building service and product teams with outcomes on Workplace ExperienceExperience of running Collaboration services based on the cloud-based Microsoft products (extensive Azure experience required)JOB EXPERIENCE:Comprehensive management experience in a technology environment holding a senior level position with a solid track record in leading expansive, globally diverse groups and departmentsDeep experience in leading end user computing functions and infrastructure organizationsDemonstrable experience of building service and product teams with outcomes on Workplace ExperienceExperience of running Collaboration services based on the cloud-based Microsoft productsEDUCATION: BS/MS/MBA degree in a relevant technical area (Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science) or equivalent experienceLANGUAGE SKILLS:Native language and proficiency in verbal and written EnglishEmployment is contingent on disclosure of your COVID-19 vaccination status and, if relevant, proof of vaccination.EEO DisclaimerParexel is an equal opportunity employer.  Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to legally protected status, which in the US includes race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
