  Job Summary  

We are seeking a Level 1 Assistant Technician for our General Toxicology (cagewash area) department located in Sherbrooke.

The General Toxicology department is responsible for ensuring the welfare of the animals and the integrity of our pre-clinical studies.

Work schedule and salary: Salary starts at $16.25/hour.  Full time, permanent position (37.5 hours/week). Weekend work (rotation) and bonus ($2.75/hour). After 37,5 h : Overtime paid at time and a half Holiday: Paid at double time Annual bonus based on performance.

 

Transportation:  Easily accessible using Sherbrooke’s public transit system. Free parking. Electric vehicle charging station.

 

 

What you will be working on?

 

Our team of Assistant Technician working in the cagewash area impact the health of the animals by ensuring the equipment used to maintain the animals living conditions (cage, toys, bowl, waterbottle, etc…)  is cleaned according to the highest wellbeing standards in the industry. 

We apply the principles of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

 

 

What kind of person are we looking for?

 

Our department values teamwork, respect and mutual support. We are looking for a candidate who is organized and self-driven and holds a DES (high school diploma) or equivalent experience. 

The ideal person should be able to work standing for long periods of time and work physically (lift up to 20 kg) .

Please note that upon being hired, you will have to undergo an annual tuberculosis test at the expense of the company.
