  Job Summary  

Must be willing to work on-site (Memphis, TN) and be willing to dedicate 16 hours per week with your upcoming Spring 2023 semester. 

We are seeking a Quality Control Intern for our Cell Therapy Manufacturing Facility located Memphis, TN.

The Quality Control Intern is responsible for successfully completing the internship program course leading up to the potential involvement of various technology related activities associated with the start-up and GMP analysis of a number of novel cellular products including compliance with regulatory agencies and associated guidelines. Must be able to meet physical requirements established in this job description.

The following are responsibilities related to the Quality Control Intern: 

•    Consistently practice appropriate laboratory behaviors.

•    Exhibit aseptic skills in the lab.

•    Obtain detailed knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11 compliance as it pertains to use of regulated systems.

•    Display an ability to complete necessary system and regulatory documentation.

•    Strong communication skills.

•    Display an ability to troubleshoot issues.

•    Exhibit a sense of urgency in completion of tasks.

•    Perform other duties as assigned.

•    Ability to follow directions verbally and written.

  Job Qualifications  

The following are minimum qualifications related to the Quality Control Intern position:

•    Currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Associate degree program focused on Statistics, Biostatistics, Microbiology, or Biology with a preferred minimum of 3.0 GPA.  

•    Must be detailed oriented and have excellent organizational skills.

•    Must possess effective written and oral communication skills.

•    Must display a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.  

•    Experience with statistical analysis software preferred.

•    Experience in basic lab equipment.
