Job Summary

We are seeking a Manufacturing Science Associate I to support our Cell Therapy Manufacturing Facility located in Memphis, TN

The Manufacturing Sciences Associate will provide manufacturing technical support for incoming technology transfers of client manufacturing processes for advanced cell therapies. This role will participate in the transfer process and ensuring that the knowledge transfer to the manufacturing and supporting groups is efficient and effective.

Additionally, this role will be involved in process preparation, execution, and close out of technology transfer activities. Position level will be determined based on candidate's experience.

The following are responsibilities related to the Manufacturing Science Associate I position:

  • Work as part of a cross-functional transfer team to ensure maximum and high-quality output of deliverables for clients.
  • Assess client manufacturing requirements against internal capabilities and experience to identify any process or raw material gaps.
  • Identify any gap or technical mitigations to high-risk items and present to leadership for endorsement.
  • Provide on floor support and troubleshooting for manufacturing and supporting groups to ensure transfer of process knowledge was effective.
  • Generate and/or review documentation supporting tech transfer and production and provide technical support.
  • Monitor and analyze transferred process performance (Manufacturing) and troubleshoot technical difficulties as needed.
  • Provide support for investigations and impact assessment.
  • Ensures tasks are performed in a manner consistent with safety standards and within cGMP guidelines
  • Assist in expanding process knowledge, controls for technology transfer consistency, and continuous improvement.
  • Travel may be required for training or process transfer activities.

Compensation Data

The pay range for this position is $53,000-74,700k per year. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.

Job Qualifications

The following are minimum qualifications related to the Manufacturing Science Associate I position:

  • BS/ MS/ PhD with a minimum of 1 year or equivalent applicable experience.
  • Position level will be determined based on candidate's experience.
  • Exhibits exceptional analytical skills and deep knowledge of cell culturee and GMP.
  • Must be detail oriented and have excellent organizational skills.
  • Must possess effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Must display a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Must demonstrate initiative to remain apprised of relevant industry and regulatory trends.
