Job Summary

The Administrative Assistant provides various levels of support to ensure efficient operation of the administrative aspects of the facility. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload. This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am through 5:00 pm. Reporting onsite is an essential function of the positionPerform a wide variety of administrative assignments which are sometimes confidential in nature; operate computer to enter data, draft, edit, revise, and print letters, tables, reports, and other materials

  • Greet and direct visitors, as and when appropriate; coordinate in-house meeting arrangements
  • Resolve routine administrative problems and answer inquiries concerning activities and operations of department/division
  • Sort, screen, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail; draft or prepare responses to routine inquiries; operate a variety of office equipment
  • Establish, maintain, process, and update files, records and/or other documents
  • Arrange meetings, appointments, and perform other duties related to maintaining one or more individual schedules
  • Serve as main point of contact for catering, vending and office supply vendors
  • Performs overall administrative activities
  • Oversees reception area to ensure effective communications both internally and externally to maintain professional image
  • Participates as needed in special department projects
  • Performs other duties assigned

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Administrative experience preferred
  • Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control
  • Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities
  • Ability to operate basic office equipment, maintain calendars and schedule appointments
  • A strong focus on detail and accuracy of work with the ability to take on full ownership of assigned work
  • Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials
  • Ability to maintain integrity of sensitive/confidential information
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

Compensation Data

The pay range for this position is $44,600 - $49,900.  Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors but not limited to experience, skills, education and location.
