RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure timely and accurate accounting and reports in accordance with IQVIA Finance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Sarbanes Oxley rules as well as local GAAP and tax rules for the department or division.
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial accounting procedures and policies relevant to the scope of this role.
  • Ensure all financial and accounting records are thoroughly maintained and complete in preparation for independent audits.
  • Direct the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, operating expenses, and insurance records.
  • Introduce and lead changes in internal business process and serve as an expert resource to internal and external management at all levels.
  • Supervise and participate in the preparation of various financial statements and reports.
  • Coordinate the preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting.
  • Develop financial reports outlining the Company’s position in areas of income, expense, taxes and utilization based on past, present and future operations.
  • Preparation of and delivery of month end processes ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Provide support for department heads including business analysis and forecasting
  • Financial, trend, and variance analysis to support decision making and respond to inquiries from corporate and the business
  • Reporting (formal month end summaries, month-end & quarterly reports, as well as numerous ad hoc reports)
  • Working with operations to understand budgeting needs and forecasting results, including uploading of estimates
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of internal customer requirements and develop processes that will meet or exceed these requirements
  • Support in managing the P&L for multiple groups
  • Cost analysis to ensure correct and accurate reporting
  • Accounting support, as necessary on technical issues
  • Prepare and distribute management reporting information to finance and operational groups.
  • Planning and delivery of the forecasting and budgeting process for certain operational groups.
  • Working with various operational groups in analyzing and interpreting financial results providing the means to effectively manage the business.
  • Line Management responsibilities for direct reports. Manage staff in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable legislation. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and guiding professional development; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing employee relations issues and resolving problems. Approve actions on human resources matters, including salary administration.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • 5 years of experience in the fast-paced multinational organization on similar jobs.
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Finance / Accounting.
  • International certifications like ACCA, CPA, CMA are considered an advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluent verbal and written communication in English.
  • Ability to understand and adapt to new technologies and processes in an ever-changing environment.
  • Excellent analytical and numeracy skills.
  • Highly self-motivated, commercially focused with a desire to help drive the business forward.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers, vendors and clients.
  • Full understanding of financial operating systems and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of local and US GAAP.
  • Strong technical accounting skills.
  • Ability to identify financial issues, develop and execute mitigating actions.
  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple work requirements to meet deadlines.
