We are excited to announce that we are looking for a Systems and Operations Instructional Designer to join our team of over 10,000 global field personnel supporting our pharmaceutical and biotech clients.

Position Background:

This position is responsible for developing and evolving our systems and ops curriculum along with various up-training modules and programs to enhance the learning journey of our nurse educators, field management, and the support teams.  This position will be responsible for providing appropriate training resources to enable the end users to utilize all systems, including Salesforce, to meet their business objectives.  This includes delivering systems training, developing training materials (i.e. Train the Trainer, scripts, quick reference cards), managing training logistics, client engagement, and managing training vendors.

Position Duties:

  • Work with Training Team to design and develop interactive training materials, including training curriculum, agenda, scripts and support material (i.e. quick reference cards, frequently asked questions).
  • Design and deliver Facilitator Guides which includes speaker notes, answers to activities and quizzes along with any points to emphasize based on their level of importance.
  • Decide the time and effort required to complete the training solution effectively as well as recommend the training format based on agent impact and complexity of the topic.
  • Meet with subject matter experts, program managers, and functional senior leaders to determine training requirements, audience, and align on expected post-training performance or behavioral outcomes.
  • Conduct Train-the-Trainer sessions for facilitators who will ultimately deliver the content to learners. Facilitate in-classroom training as needed.
  • Ensure content accuracy by partnering with subject matter experts and stakeholders.
  • Proactively manage post training evaluation processes. Design and deliver surveys within pre-set timelines, measure learning effectiveness, assess knowledge gaps newly launched products/app features knowledge.
  • Partner with leadership to identify knowledge gaps or improvement areas for newly hired employees. Create learning modules targeted to those individuals.
  • Work with AbbVie Training and Development to deliver the Salesforce training in a variety of settings (classroom, one-on-one, online, and workshops) to both internal and client end users.  In-person training will be in multiple US locations.
  • Manage the logistics of the training including working with meeting planning, venue vendors, IT support and field management.
  • Manage training rosters.
  • Manage the training data to be utilized by trainers and participants, this includes engaging with the technical team to develop and implement the training data.
  • Conduct evaluations of delivered training and utilize results to improve training and address additional training needs.
  • Work with AbbVie Training and Development and Patient Outreach Program Quality to develop and deliver system communications to end users.
  • Maintain records of all training deliverables.
  • Build and maintain online documentation libraries – documentation, webinars, videos.

  • Conduct Salesforce training needs assessment by collecting information pertaining to work procedures, work flow, reports and understanding job specific functions and tasks.
  • Identify application training requirements by researching and testing the system.
  • Evaluate the needs of the business and evolve the training program as the business (project) evolves.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Technical Writing, Instructional Design, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. 
  • Minimum of 1 year of content development experience required
  • Minimum of 1 year of instructional design experience required
  • Patient Outreach program experience (1+ year) or RN experience preferred.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and have excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to create, develop and deliver field-based systems and operations training manuals.
  • Extensive end user knowledge of Salesforce system and operational protocols or similar systems
  • Ability to travel (30-40%)
  • Strong planning and prioritization skills
  • Strong and effective presentation and facilitations skills; excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Initiative and vision: develop strategy and deliver results
  • Drive and enthusiasm
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build and inspire support for initiatives
  • Comprehensive knowledge and proven application of learner-centered, performance-based instructional techniques, tools and methodologies
  • Possess and expert knowledge around Adult Learning Theories
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office, particularly PowerPoint, Articulate Storyline 360, and other e-learning software to improve our current learning experience
