Applications Systems Manager

Job Overview
Supports complex WAN/LAN network environment to meet uptime goals. Supports and configures network equipment including  firewalls, routers, load balancers, VPN, wireless APs, circuits, and switches. Provides internal and external 2nd level support for network related issues.

Essential Functions
• Conducts and coordinates the application of state-of-the-art network management and implementation techniques to meet existing business needs.
• Provides implementation support in the operation of multiple and interlinked network systems.
• Provides troubleshooting of installed network technologies. Documents network technology and troubleshooting.
• Provides 2nd level network engineering support.
• Analyzes network characteristics (e.g., traffic, connect time, transmission speeds, packet sizes, and throughput), troubleshoots problems and recommends procurement, removals, and modifications to network components.
• Works in cross functional teams.
• Resolve outages and problems through vendors.
• Supports global implementations remotely.

Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent  Req
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field Pref
• Incumbents possess significant breadth and depth of knowledge in two or more of the following technologies: WAN and LAN Design, routing and routing protocols, layer 2 and layer 3 switching, content switching, network security, network capacity planning, telephony, firewall technology, DNS management, voice, wireless, IPver4, IPver 6, Cisco ACI, F5 Load Balancers, MPLS, packet decoding, structured wiring, network monitoring technologies, IP adressing, video, VOIP, and VPN.
• CCNA - Cisco Cert Network Assoc   Pref
• ITILF - Itil Foundation  1 1/2 Yrs Req
