Information Management and BI/Analytics Project Manager

Location:  Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Czech Republic or Romania

Function Purpose

Technology Solutions' Global Delivery organization contributes to the implementation and ongoing support of the IQVIA technology product portfolio at Life Sciences clients around the world. The scope of Global Delivery includes:

• Serving the needs of IQVIA Regional Business Units to deliver IQVIA Tech Solutions product offerings either in full, or in coordination with their regional Delivery teams

• End-to-end delivery coverage for the full SDLC (implementation through support)

• Leadership of complex multi-country or integrated solutions, particularly in Europe (Program/Project Mgmt, Business Analysis, Solution Architecture)

• Supplying skilled technical resources from low-cost delivery centers in Europe and South Asia (Dev/Config, Testing, Service Desk, Tier 2 Support)

Role Overview

The Information Management (IM) and BI/Analytics Project manager position ensures both:

  • the successful delivery of end-to-end Data Warehousing / BI and MDM projects, through the efficient use and identification of resources / skill mix to achieve Client satisfaction at optimum cost
  • the successful delivery of Business Intelligence and Analytics projects in the same way

Responsibilities

As Information Management and BI project manager, you will:

  • Be accountable for the overall delivery of assigned IM and BI projects (single or multi-country), owning customer satisfaction and ensuring IQVIA meets its internal project goals.
  • Serve as the escalation point for project delivery concerns from client or RBU/Country stakeholders, responsible for problem resolution.
  • Engage with customers on regular basis (project kick-off, project meeting, steering committee).
  • Directly manage a team of project client-facing (e.g. project manager, business analyst, Architect) and non-client-facing implementation resources across different countries.
  • Work closely with additional teams contributing to the delivery of Information Management and BI; including PMO, offshore technical delivery centers and service management.
  • Work closely with the IM & PMI (BI) product teams, to understand and contribute to the product roadmap plans, and anticipate impacts on the assigned IM projects.
  • Work closely with RBU IM leaders to understand IM forecast and regional specifics
  • Collaborate with Delivery Operations to forecast demand, plan resource needs, and manage staffing assignments
  • Participate in the business development process for IM & BI opportunities as needed

Skills & Experience – Must Have

• 12+ years' experience managing Information Management and BI project implementations

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage project teams of geographically dispersed team members.

• Demonstrated success building effective relationships with a broad spectrum of internal and external stakeholders, including senior leaders and associates across different functions

• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and able to match stakeholder expectations to urgently deliver exceptional results

• Deep knowledge of SaaS business model and end-to-end delivery model, with specific expertise in IM Implementation

• Robust experience delivering complex IT solutions

• Should have significant understanding of data governance and data stewardship areas

MUST BE a Data Warehousing and if possible MDM expert including, the knowledge of key technologies such as if possible, experience in corresponding technologies: MS Sql Server, DWH technologies, MDM platforms, …

MUST BE Expert in Business Intelligence (BI) including project experience with the main BI tools : Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, or other mainstream BI technologies.

• Additional technical qualifications: background knowledge / some exposure to in one or more following technologies: Big Data, NoSQL, Graph DB, Cassandra, Spark, Hadoop, AWS, Amazon S3, RedShift, Mulesoft

• Outstanding communications, problem solving and project management skills

• Knowledge of Healthcare/Life Sciences Industry is needed

• Experience in global roles; understanding of cultural sensitivities and time zones required.

• Flexible, periodic travel for internal and client meetings

Skills & Experience – Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of Healthcare/Life Sciences Industry – knowledge of the R&D / Clinical trials / R&D side a plus
  • Knowledge and project experience using Life Science data feeds: One Key, MIDAS, DDD, Xponent, Sales Data (national, subnational, …)
  • Significant exposure and deep underlying of technologies: Reltio (MDM, Snowflake (DWH), Informatica (ETL), Mulesoft (integration)
