Job Purpose:

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the management and leadership of complex /programs related to Parexel’s Medical Imaging solution. Agile software development methodology is used, and in this position you will fulfill the role of Release Train Engineer (RTE in the Scaled Agile Framework). You will focus on supporting PAREXEL’s business and engineering teams and will be responsible for the adherence of good agile practice for an agile release train within the program. You will also maintain traditional project management responsibilities related to scope definition and product delivery.

Selects methods and tools, using iterative techniques where appropriate, ensuring that effective project control, change control, risk management and testing processes are maintained Monitors resources, revenue and capital costs against the project budget Manages expectations of all project stakeholders.Project ManagementPlans, directs, and co-ordinates activities to manage and implement projects from contract /proposal initiation to final operational stage including the transition into “business-as-usual”,Plans, schedules, monitors, and reports on activities related to the program to various relevant stakeholder using a variety of appropriate communication methods.Ensures that projects are managed in a timely manner to realize business benefits and that management is informed by an awareness of current technical developments.ConsultancyTakes responsibility for understanding client requirements, collecting data, delivering analysis and problem resolution. Identifies, evaluates and recommends options, implementing if required. Collaborates with, and facilitates stakeholder groups, as part of formal or informal consultancy agreements. Seeks to fully address client needs, enhancing the capabilities and effectiveness of client personnel, by ensuring that proposed solutions are properly understood and appropriately exploited.Relationship ManagementFacilitates open communication and discussion between stakeholders, acting as a single point of contact by developing, maintaining and working to stakeholder engagement strategies and plans. Promotes collaboration between business and engineering teams and builds strong working relationships.Identifies the communications needs of each stakeholder groupTranslates communications / stakeholder engagement strategies into specific tasks. Provides and receives informed feedback to assess and promote understanding across all levels of stakeholders.Change ManagementDevelops implementation plans for complex requests for change. Evaluates risks to the integrity of service environment inherent in proposed implementations (including availability, performance, security and compliance of the business services impacted). Leads the assessment, analysis, development, documentation and implementation of changes based on requests for change.Providing solutions that where possible reach a ‘win-win’ outcome.Financial ManagementMust have basic understanding of project financial tracking.Provides input to financial plans and forecasts. Monitors expenditure, ensuring that all financial targets are met, and examining any areas where budgets and expenditure exceed their agreed tolerances. QualificationsMinimum 10 to 15 years of overall experience with atleast 7 years of experience in Project Management.Expertise in Agile methodology and must have played the role of Agile coach. Experience as a Scrum Master.Experience in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). Expertise and Experience in RTE (Release Train Engineer)Business and financial acumen, with proven ability to manage scope, timeline, budget, risk, etc.Outstanding organizational skills and time management skills, with ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.Exceptional written, verbal, interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated team-building experience.Strong technical, analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.Ability to determine level and method of communication required for diverse audience, and ability to adapt communication style.Demonstrates significant levels of initiative and self-confidence, is adaptable and is able to cope with evolving priorities while working in fast paced, time sensitive environment.Solid proficiency in Microsoft Project and other project management tools and methodologies, including knowledge of and ability to utilize implementation methodologies and deliverable templates (Resource Plan; Work Plan; Test Plan; Implementation Plan; etc.).
