  Job Summary We are seeking a Scientist for our Inhalation Aerosol department site located in Senneville (Greater Montreal area) in Canada.

 

The Aerosol Scientist is responsible for supporting inhalation aerosol generation, characterization and optimization, acting as Individual Scientist on Inhalation studies (as needed) as well as drafting the corresponding phase report, and working to establish new techniques, equipment and processes.

 

The following are responsibilities related to the Scientist - Inhalation Aerosol  : To lead the preparation, authoring and completion of Aerosol phase reports on completion of a study. This includes the detailed data analysis and formation of scientific conclusions. To evaluate new dosing/analysis or supplementary equipment to advance the capabilities or technical understanding of aerosols and the processes associated with their production and control. To advance understanding and knowledge of technical mechanisms that govern dosing and aerosol generation. Lead the management of projects associated with continuous improvement and capability enhancement (i.e., validations) and to lead ad-hoc teams of technicians to achieve these aims. To act as Individual Scientist on inhalation studies. To act as Study Director on Inhalation Characterisation Studies. To lead the application of problem-solving skills and approaches that support the development and continuous improvement of the Inhalation team. To conduct novel research and development activities that allow the presentation of posters or seminars at industry conferences, representing Charles River. To maintain a legible and permanent record of all results obtained together with relevant supporting data. Is responsible for reporting immediately to their supervisor any anomalous observations, any equipment malfunction not immediately correctable, any animal sickness or any factor which will in any way impede the normal scheduling of any Charles River study. Is responsible for ensuring that their work is conducted in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and the principles of Good Laboratory Practice. Is responsible for ensuring that a safe working environment is maintained for their self and her colleagues by observing all safety procedures and working methods, by making proper use of protective clothing and equipment and by reading, understanding and following all safety documents issued or notified to them. Qualification

The following are minimum qualifications related to the  Scientist - Inhalation Aerosol position : Bachelor of Sciences or equivalent; A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience;  Understanding of English is required. Bilingualism is an asset;  Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills; Strong problem solving and analytical skills; Ability to work in a team; Ability to work without supervision.
