Purpose 

The UX/UI Designer II position will be responsible for creating great digital experiences aligning with IQVIA’s design system.  This individual will work with a project team to visualize the user interface throughout the lifecycle of the project. The UX/UI Designer applies visual principals to interface components to connect with the end users by creating engaging and easy-to-use designs.  The UX/UI designer will determine how users engage with our products including mobile, desktop, and responsive web applications.  He or she will work with the UX team and the product development team members to ensure the product looks and operates as intended for all users.  This is a high-profile role that requires strong communication skills and attention to detail. 

Responsibilities 

• Create visualizations that successfully communicate complex ideas about healthcare, life sciences, and technology 

• Leverage IQVIA’s existing enterprise Design System to build consistent user experiences in our products  

• Embrace an agile and iterative approach to projects, ranging from presentations to interfaces 

• Collaborate with a team of UX designers to promote design guidelines, best practices and standards 

• Collaborate with the Lead User, or delegated member of the applicable business group, to create mockups to provide an accurate, graphical user interface representation, thereby facilitating successful solution design and development 

• Prepare files for asset delivery to developers 

• Collaborate with development team to ensure adherence to UI design specifications 

• Collaborate with Global IT Solutions functional groups by adhering to established processes to ensure that business requirements are delivered through successful project implementation of optimal, cost-effective solutions

Qualifications:

 • Proven ability to be a proactive, self-starter 

• Experience exhibiting confidence working within ambiguity and/or conflicting requirements  

• Strong ability to understand technology and human behavior  

• A portfolio demonstrating a high level of visual aptitude 

• Strong communication and presentation skills 

• Ability to defend design decisions and negotiate with product teams 

• Great attention to detail with a proactive working style 

• Strong grasp of UI and UX standards 

• Familiarity with best practices related to globalization and accessibility 

• Basic understanding of CSS/HTML 

• Ability to solve problems through design thinking 

• Demonstrate proficient use of graphical design and prototyping tools  

• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences, and business concepts to technical audiences 

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers, and clients 

Requirements:

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in a related field and have a minimum of 3-5 years of business experience, working toward or holding applicable industry accreditation or certification.
