bonus</strong></p> <p>The schedule for this position will beMonday- Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm</p> <p><strong>Job Responsibilities: </strong></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";"> </span></span>Process human tissue and body fluid specimens in preparation for microscopic exam</li> <li><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";"> </span></span>Perform technical duties related to the production of histopathological slides of surgical specimens</li> <li><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";"> </span></span>Section the embedded tissue, using a microtome and mount the section properly on a microscope slide</li> <li><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";"> </span></span>Perform various immunohistochemical tests on formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections</li> <li><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";"> </span></span>Process mounted sections through routine and special staining procedures</li> <li><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span 8.0pt;font-family: "lucida sans";">Normally an Associate's Degree w/1-3 years of experience in Histology or a High School Diploma with 5+ years histology experience.</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";"> </span></span>ASCP Histology certification or other relevant Histology certifications preferred</li> <li><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";"> </span></span>Previous experience in histology is preferred but not required</li> <li><span>IHC and Special Stain experience preferred</span></li> <li><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";"> </span></span>Familiarity with routine histology procedures and equipment</li> <li><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";"> </span></span>Immunohistochemistry experience is a plus</li> <li><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";"> </span></span>Comfortability embedding both large and small specimens</li> <li><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span style="font: 7.0pt "Times New Roman";">
