  Job Summary  

There’s never been a more exciting time to be on the SAP Business Intelligence team at Charles River Labs!   We are on an exciting journey to modernize the operational analytics and reporting landscape using SAP tools.  If you are an experienced SAP BI professional who has a passion for data & analytics and has worked on SAP BI solutions and products from start through production deployment, this job may be for you!  

 

This role will work collaboratively, in a consultative way, across the business units and IT, owning the modern SAP analytics solutions that are built by the team, supporting and training business users, as well as advising on best approaches to solve business problems, automate manual solutions, or simply bring to life ‘the art of the possible’  leveraging modern analytics as a competitive advantage.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

•    Engage Business Stakeholders at all levels to identify requirements for current and future products through ongoing interaction 

•    Develop highly efficient Native HANA Live Calculation views for consumption in Analysis for Office as a transition to S/4HANA Embedded Analytics

•    Develop Embedded Analytics solutions in S/4HANA with CDS views and Fiori

•    Develop SAC / DWC models, stories and applications

•    Data validation to ensure data is fit for use by the business

•    Ability to see big picture and then identify key areas for deep analysis to support sound solutions

•    Perform ad-hoc analysis and present results in a clear and user-friendly manner

•    Perform testing, resolve issues and work to automate testing/data validation

•    Lead requirements sessions and User Acceptance Testing for new data and analytics solutions

•    Troubleshoot issues and optimize performance of the HANA Live models

•    Build strong business relationships that foster a collaborative and trusting approach and partnership

•    Act as scrum master for the team, if required, and prepare detailed stories Job Qualifications  

Education:  Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in computer science, engineering, Business Administration or related discipline.

 

Experience:

•    7+ years of experience in developing SAP HANA models(Calculation views, ABAP CDS views, DWC models, SAC), and data validation/testing 

•    3+ years of experience working with SAP BI front end tools like Analysis for Office Workbooks , Business Objects, SAC, Power BI

•    3+ years of running User Acceptance Testing cycles, validating data and training with business users and stakeholders

•    5+ years of experience working with SAP tables and relationships and building data models independently with little support from SAP functional or technical resources

•    3+ years of experience with Data Governance processes to ensure consistent implementations of data sets, terminology and reporting structures for optimal data integrity

•    1+ years working in Agile Software Development Methodology

Ability to translate requirements to well-written user stories to bridge the gap between business and technology

•    Strong business mindset with ability to collaborate with business partners to identify needs and opportunities for improved data management and delivery

The following are strongly desired:

•    Analytics and/or planning Modeling in SAP Analytics Cloud/ DWC

•    Analytic Designer skills in building applications in SAC 

Embedded Analytics in S/4HANA with CDS views and Fiori

•    Willingness to help mature Agile practices for the team
