IMPORTANT:   In order to be considered for this position, a resume/CV must be uploaded and submitted during the application process.  Please make sure work history and education are added correctly.    Job Summary The Senior Director of Global Employee Compensation is a global leadership role at CRL responsible for the strategic direction and shaping of employee compensation programs to address our high growth and changing talent needs in a talent-competitive environment. In this role you will ensure that we have world-class programs that attract and retain talent and promote a culture of performance-based rewards globally.

Reporting to the Vice President of Global Total Rewards, this role will have a team of employee compensation professionals in a global environment, and will be managing and deigning multiple global compensation programs and processes in collaboration with Global Comp, HR, and Business Teams, as well as participating in M&A integration activities. This role will be helping to lead multi-year transformational projects that enact strategic changes, enhance our position in the marketplace, and maintain governance as it applies to Employee Compensation.

Success in this role will be dependent upon building and maintaining relationships with your team, the Broader HR team, and Business and/or Department Leaders, while also ensuring cross-collaboration when needed with other HR COEs, Finance, Payroll and Legal.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: 

•    Leads strategic designs that shape employee compensation programs, including but not limited to employee salaries, market benchmarking, short-term incentives, to ensure that the company can meet talent acquisition and retention objectives.

•    In collaboration with the Global Compensation team, developing, documenting, communicating and implementing compensation programs and processes, ensuring a solid focus on project timelines, change management, and effective communication.

•    Working with communications team to develop and/or improve upon compensation training and communication materials and delivering related informational sessions.

•    Works with Executive Compensation leader to manage and deliver executive annual incentive program (EICP) 

•    Manages global employee compensation program design, planning and execution, collaborating with business and HR leaders as appropriate.  This includes Short-Term Incentives, Salary Increases and Investments, and Pay Equity Analyses.

•    Ensuring compliance with FLSA and other relevant local laws and regulation.  Staying informed of all current and pending legislation as well as industry trends regarding compensation

•    Researches and provides competitive intelligence and predictive analytics in support of employee compensation programs 

•    Support M&A activities as it relates to employee compensation.

•    Project management for other areas will be required as needed.

  Job Qualifications Education & Experience Qualifications:

•    Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or equivalent, preferably in a related field of business or mathematics

•    8+ years of progressive, related Compensation experience, including experience managing compensation programs and processes across an organization Would accept a combination of education and experience equivalent of 8yrs +

•    Experience with global compensation (US and outside US) is strongly preferred

•    Experience within a globally matrixed organization is strongly preferred

•    Experience with driving culture change is strongly preferred

•    Experience and understanding of other areas of HR a strong plus

•    Experience in a public organization and/or within the life sciences, pharma, medical device, therapeutics, or biotech industries a plus

•    Experience with SuccessFactors, PayFactors and/or PayScale a plusCCP and/or PHR a plus

Qualified Skills:

•    Strong analytical, technical, Excel and PowerPoint skills 

•    Ability to manage through ambiguity; adaptability and agility to change

•    Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to creatively approach solutions for unique challenges

•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating and partnering with others across cultures, generations, and geographies

•    High attention to detail, and high-quality standards
