The following are responsibilities related to the Animal Caretaker: 

Perform assignments of caretaking, cage wash, and other duties as assigned at Baltimore MD IS government contract sites.  Job Qualifications The following are minimum qualifications related to the Animal Caretaker position: 

·     Education & Exp:  High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.  Six months experience in research animal care and husbandry preferred.

·     Certification/Licensure:  Achieve Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician (ALAT) certification within twelve months of eligibility to sit for the examination.
