IQVIA provides scientific services spanning clinical trials, real world evidence, and consulting in all areas of the product lifecycle. The Patient Centered Solutions (PCS) team leads the industry in generating data to ensure that the patient voice is incorporated into the development and commercialization of medication and other drug/non-drug interventions. We focus on understanding and meeting the needs of our clients – mostly life science/pharmaceutical companies – through the application of broad consulting expertise and technical scientific knowledge to design scientifically rigorous research. This research is broad and includes qualitative (e.g. interviews, focus groups), quantitative (e.g. clinical outcome assessments (COAs)/patient-reported outcomes (PROS), preference research) and passive (e.g. digital health technology tools) approaches to understand patient, caregiver and healthcare professional experiences and expectations of disease and treatment.

As part of PCS’s commitment to patients, we have established the Patient Experience Solutions (PXS) team with the aim of designing solutions from clinical to commercial contexts that transform the way that patients interact with pharma and the broader healthcare ecosystem. Our approaches are rooted in behavioral science, clinical expertise, and technology to uniquely address our clients’ patient experience and engagement questions. Role & Responsibilities

PXS managers will be responsible for managing or leading multiple consulting projects and ensuring on-time and onbudget delivery for clients in the pharmaceutical or related industries. Individual will be responsible for contributing to and managing teams of consultants and scientists in the design, development, and delivery of medium size consulting projects or components of larger, complex projects; and and serve as the main point of contact for the client team. It is essential that Managers are able to undertake the following client focused activities:

• Manage and contribute to the execution of PXS projects, in the design, development and delivery of client deliverables and presentations; from project kick off until close

• Plan, organize and manage resources (internal and external) to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives

• Leverage business experience and acumen in identifying strategic alternatives and project approach to client questions and to elevate our capabilities to deliver world-class solutions for clients

• Develop client relationships through face-to-face discussions or workshops, telephone or email contact

• Provide follow-up with client after project deliverable has been completed to ensure client satisfaction.

• Identify opportunities for expansion of PCS service offerings, internal and external to IQVIA

• Support the development of intellectual property for use on future engagements

• Develop broader and deeper knowledge of consulting methodologies and pharmaceutical market through on the job experience and training

• Provide direction, advice and intellectual leadership to clients and delivery teams. Direct consulting teams through consistent participation in team meetings

• Support development of proposals

In addition to the client-focused activities a Manager in the Patient Experience Solutions (PXS) team is also expected to contribute to the continued growth of the practice. To support practice building work it is important that Managers are able to:

• Define strategies and tactics for IQVIA and our clients to meet patient centric goals

• Build and refine PXS go-to-market offerings and support business development activities

• Lead ad hoc work streams on critical people-related issues such as recruitment, learning and development

• Develop templates and training materials to streamline and optimize new project start-up and team-member onboarding

• Develop formal Project Management processes for PXS Consulting services; train and mentor consultant and scientists in these Project Management processes

• Serve as a coach to 3-4 staff

Whilst the PXS team participates in a broad set of consulting, patient research, and technical projects, there is a particular need for support in some methodological approaches. Candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas are particularly desirable:

• Strategic consulting – including development of strategy, roadmaps, frameworks, playbooks, etc. that can be tailored and applied across multiple clients

• Patient behavioral analysis – including identifying and understanding the key behavioural drivers for adherence, compliance, and retention within studies, solutions, and programs

• Qualitative research – including developing discussion guides, conducting interviews/focus groups, and analyzing qualitative data using software

• Preference research – including developing vignettes, conducting stated/revealed preference research and analyzing preference data

• Digital solution design – including the key patient workflows and associated data and technologies to enable the desired patient behaviours and experience About You

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Demonstrable analytical, interpretative, and problem-solving skills

• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including presentations, chairing meetings, workshop facilitation, business and report writing

• Strong capability in managing large and/or multiple projects and juggling priorities so that deadlines are met while retaining consistently high quality outcomes

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work with individuals at all levels within the organization and build remote relationships

• Ability to contribute to business development through the identification of leads, development of proposals etc.

• Knowledge of key issues and current developments in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries

• Knowledge of consulting methodologies, tools and techniques

• A track record of leadership and people development

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant academic field, graduate degree or MBA not required but a plus

• At least 5 years experience in consulting within the pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry with evidence of career progression

• Demonstrable experience in and commitment to the life sciences and/or healthcare industries

• Minimum of 1+ years project management experience focused on multinational strategic consulting projects

• Experience working in sizable/ multi-disciplined teams and leading staff

• Experience in developing credible relationships with senior level managers and executives in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry

• Fluent conversational and business English (written and oral); additional languages an advantage
