We have an excellent opportunity to join our Talent Management & Inclusion Center of Expertise (COE) and help PPD build the talent required for ongoing industry leadership. As an Associate Director (or Director) within Talent Management & Inclusion, you will contribute to defining and driving our talent strategy for the global organization. This role reports into the VP, Global Talent Management & Inclusion.

You will work closely with senior business and HR leaders to understand the organization’s talent needs and to design, develop and implement programs and tools. Our talent management and inclusion team is focused on:

Job Description:

This role will have particular emphasis on leadership development, but our team is highly collaborative and you will have the opportunity to contribute to all aspects of talent management and inclusion.

Primary Responsibilities:

Contribute to the development and execution of PPD’s talent and inclusion strategy, including short and long-term priorities.

Define and drive the execution of our leadership development programs.

Lead cross-functional project teams.

Consult with HR and business leaders to understand talent and D&I needs and recommend strategies and solutions that respond to our needs.

Drive the planning, design, communication, implementation and ongoing delivery of global talent management / inclusion programs and initiatives.

Design and implement metrics and measures to determine the effectiveness of talent management and inclusion initiatives.

Mentor motivate, and empower team members by providing leadership, coaching, and serving as an expert of leadership development trends.

Proactively collaborate and provide consultative advice to HR business partners as they drive our talent strategy across PPD, including building tools and resources and providing recommendations for implementation.

Partner with colleagues in the Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, HR Shared Services, and Enterprise Learning to define and support an integrated and holistic approach to effectively attract, engage and develop talent.

Work with all of HR and Corporate Communications to connect components of the PPD employee experience to a single employee value proposition that positions us to be an employer of choice.

Partner closely with HR business partners to ensure global solutions are simple, business-focused, and easy for both HR and business end-users.

Ensure linkages across all talent management and inclusion practices in support of PPD’s business objectives and talent philosophy

Work closely with Talent Analytics and Enterprise Learning to measure and monitor program effectiveness and develop strategies to improve impact.*LI-NA1

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification.

Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities (comparable to 12-15 years) to perform the job, such as working in a Talent management and inclusion Center of Excellence function or similar organization with a focus on talent management, leadership development and/or organization change

Ideally, experience with leadership development program development and management

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Mastered competencies in building and maintaining relationships, change management, communicating with impact, influencing others, consulting and critical thinking skills, project and process management, and pioneering new approaches

Knowledge and experience across talent management and inclusion disciplines and deep subject matter expertise in one or more key topic areas: Leadership Assessment & Development or Diversity & Inclusion

Strategic thinker who can see the big picture and balance short and long-term objectives

Logical thinker with analytical problem-solving abilities and experience with data driven decisions

Business acumen, knowledge and maturity; able to develop and articulate the value proposition of a new strategy, process or program

Large scale project management experience; strong project planning and management skills; able to manage multiple key projects simultaneously

Ability to think creatively, but at the same time ensure that the ideas are as simple as possible and practical to implement

Ability to implement new initiatives and drive change management through effective stakeholder management and communications

Demonstrated ability to develop strong cross-functional partnerships in a fast paced, changing organization
